Transport Safety is so important and some people still do not know that it is a legal requirement that you secure your pets in the car.

We still see so many dogs on knees in the front seat with no restraint or even collars clipped to seat belts 🫣

It’s not hard to understand why in the event of on accident both these are not a good idea.

When travelling with your dogs please ensure they are in a crate or have a correctly fitted harness with seatbelt, or travelling with a cat - have them in a cat carried secured by a seatbelt or ratchet strap.

Keep those pets safe ❤️🐾

As you diligently focus on keeping your pets cool during this sweltering heat, it might seem like the last thing on your mind, but it's important to turn your attention to tomorrow's weather forecast, which predicts potentially severe thunderstorms.

These storms could bring not just rain but also loud claps of thunder that may be quite distressing for your furry companions. If your pet is particularly sensitive to loud noises, such as thunder or fireworks, it would be wise to begin your “firework” routine this evening.

This routine might involve creating a safe and comfortable space for your pet, perhaps in a quiet room with their favorite toys & enrichment activities where they can feel secure and sheltered from the noise. You might also consider using calming aids, like soothing music or pheromone diffusers, to help ease their anxiety & even think about their normal calming suppliments or medications given by the vet.

By taking these proactive steps, you can help prepare your pet for what could be a challenging day ahead, ensuring they feel as safe and calm as possible during the storm's noisy onslaught.

As always we never 100% know what the UK weather will bring us, but if we can be prepared for our pets then it won’t be as bad for them ❤️🐾

📣 IMPORTANT SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

As many of you will have seen, Gareth is in the process of launching Nourish & Nosh, in Knaresborough !

Due to this our 24/7 emergency animal ambulance service is currently suspended until further notice.

Our pet taxi service & funeral services are still available on a pre-book basis.

Dani will be taking over the pet taxis for the salon for the time being, all current clients will be contacted direct regarding their appointments if necessary. At the moment due to our period of transition we are not taking any more pet taxi clients for the salon, please keep an eye out for future updates on this.

Thank you for baring with us during this exciting time of transition and growth 🫶🏻

Please help us send lots of love and healing thoughts to the family of Izzy this evening 🤲🏻✨❤️

After a very short battle with illness they have sadly had to say their goodbyes.

From a personal recommendation of another family who’s dog we took on their final journey around a year ago, Izzy’s family wanted Gareth to take of Izzy’s final journey also.

Gareth is currently on his way to Mill Cottage Pet Crematorium where Theresa & Paul will take great care of Izzy, and Gareth will return to collect her ashes and take her back home 🌈🐾

After a back to back morning, we had a last minute call from a guardian who was sadly saying goodbye to their family member 💔

We was asked if we could take care of Fudges funeral arrangements and obviously we were more than honoured to help.

Fudges ashes will be returned to their guardian tomorrow less than 24 hours after they said goodbye.
