Here's what to look out for according to the National Office of Animal Health โคต๏ธ
โก๏ธ Chocolate ๐ซ - The higher the cocoa content, the more dangerous!
โก๏ธ Conkers/acorns ๐ฐ - Can cause nasty tummy upsets and intestinal obstructions/problems
โก๏ธMushrooms ๐ - There are thousands of different toxic species which means the symptoms can vary from mild to severe
โกAntifreeze โ๏ธ - Contains extremely toxic ingredients, even a small amount digested could cause kidney failure
โกMouldy food ๐ฆ - Can cause seizures and liver problems
โกXylitol ๐ฌ - Also known as E967. A sweetener found in many sweets and can cause a dangerous drop in blood sugar levels (and occasionally liver failure)
โกHuman cold/flu tablets ๐ - Can be quite toxic to pets so keep them well out of reach
โกPlant bulbs ๐ฑ - Many plant bulbs can be toxic if chewed or eaten so be careful if planting any
โกRat poison โ ๏ธ - Can cause a fatal haemorrhage in pets
