Totally new to sheep but living the dream of having my very own Zwartbles.

Fab day today at kingsbridge show the last of this year for these 3 girls.
Liv did a great job in the young handler for 6th in a big class with Kitkat, this sheep is more like a Labrador than a sheep all she wants is a big fuss 🥰

I then took June in the aged ewe class to come 3rd 😊
And Lily in the shearling ewe class for 2nd. 🎉

Have learnt soo much over the summer thanks to everyone whose been so supportive and generous with there advice and help 🥰. Now for learning all about lambing ready for early next year 🤞.

This was a really lovely friendly and fun show. Big thanks to Pam Browne for her time in judging 😀.

Had a super fun day yesterday at honiton the 1st show for my sheep. Learnt lots and everyone was super friendly! 😊
Liv did a great job in the young handler with Kitkat and I had June in the aged ewe and Lily in the shearling ewe.
I love these girls and they were so good all day, some rosettes was just the icing on the cake and keeps us keen for the next one 🏵️
Massive thank you to Emma Smaldon and Liv for helping get them ready and coming to support all day!
Also a huge thank you to Carinna Johnston and Kris for teaching me how to trim them and being so supportive! 🥰
And everyone at home for the constant help and support, I couldn’t do any of it without you! ❤️
Feeling incredibly lucky to be surrounded by such incredible people 🥰

Things are starting to get very real here… just over a week to go until show day for three of my girls, June, lily and kitkat! This will be our very first show so we’re going for fun and hoping to learn lots !

This week the lambs headed off to their new home. Mums have coped really well.. think they were very ready for them to go.

Exciting day yesterday. Two new Ewes each with three week old twin lambs.
Welcome June with pixie and trixie and Kitkat with slim and shady.

Welcome to Oakleigh Zwartbles.
This is my little flock of ewes, follow along for the adventures of highs and lows of keeping sheep for the first time !
My hopes for the girls are to have some lambs next year and possibly get to some shows !
