Yesterday this handsome boy came in for his 1st groom with me, I have done a meet & greet & trimmed his nails, he is extremely Nervous 💙 so I spent most of the time ask/ teaching him to be groomed telling him what I was doing touching & doing it & give treats (this is consented grooming from the dog WHICH IS SO IMPORTANT)
Mum was shocked that he got up on the table & this is why I don’t restrict movement they have freedom to move if not happy. Video was taken as proof

This is a very important groom that I’ve done today
So this boy came to me in November with really bad skin as you can see in the pictures in the bath,
I gave him Hibiscrub baths & rubbed melted warm coconut oil into his dry skin the black scabs lifted off, so I did two more washes on him & the coconut oil, over two week periods after! IM SO LUCKY MUM & DAD were on board & put their trust in me & continued to do the same at home, His mum cut out chicken out of his diet & changed his food , 8 weeks later to todays groom look how improved his skin is & hair has grown back 💙👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I still washed him in Hibiscrub today as I don’t want to upset his skin, his still nervous but again huge progress made I’m over the moon & so happy for them all 💙💙💙💙🐾🐾
This little chap today is extremely frightened of the grooming process.
I’ve been working with him for quite a while now, I take it slow & steady I don’t put the water over his head as it triggers his fears, so I use wet cotton pads to do his eyes & he consents to me doing this with chin rest that’s a huge trust 💙🐾🐾
His progressed to being dryed by siting by himself now I used to hold him Huge progress
So my point is you don’t need to be rough or rush these fur babies slow & steady being gently with holding builds trust huge progress happy dogs & yes I got kisses 💙🐾🐾

So today this stunning lady’s stress levels were through the roof her mum is amazing she gives her a really long walk before she comes to me, which helps desensitise them, but she’s not long had a session which although has finished is a contributing factor plus separation anxiety from mum although I have previously done a complete full groom on her without mum staying.
So my point being it’s so important to read the body language of these babies if I went full steam ahead with out trying to calm her I wouldn’t be able to lay my hands on her eventually , so I don’t do it!
Your dog is my priority I’m lucky that people understand the way I work so we’re going back to basics & mum will stay🩷🐾🐾
This older gentleman is blind & currently having eye drops for a sore right eye but his so lovely
When I groom him I keep my hands on him the whole time & I talk constantly so he knows I’m there, to keep him from being anxious reassurance is an amazing thing for him
& considering he is nervous I was really pleased with how he turned out 💙🐾🐾
So had little now large 💙🐾🐾
This lovely boy is so gentle I love him I gave him a deshed using tools then had a drop coat shampoo worried on well with a curry brush once he was dry I gave him another deshed! Cut his nails & cleaned out his earns.
He earns his treats today Then had to do a massive clean up afterwards.
Even short haired dogs need attention 💙
