Well, it only makes sense that the first time I ever have to use my canine first aid kit it's on my dog!

Reggie is absolutely fine, nothing some leucillin and some time in the boot of shame won't fix, but I thoroughly recommend all dog owners to have some first aid basics under their belt.

You can find some really informative videos on YouTube, or better yet, go on a course! It only takes a few hours and you might learn something that could one day save your pup's life ❤️

All dogs will be risk assessed the day before - and if your dog is scoring highly on this chart I will be in touch to organise alternative times/routes/ sessions!

Well today seems like as good a day as any to introduce you all to my Hot Dog policy 😂😂

As we're (hopefully) getting warmer, certain dogs are more at risk than others for heatstroke.

I always carry water with me, but as not every dog will drink from a travel bottle, I'll be risk assessing all appointments the day before and any dog above a 4 on this scale will have three options.

We can either:

Rearrange your walk to the beginning or end of the day when it is coolest and more comfortable for your pup.

If that doesn't work for your schedule, I will upgrade your walk to either a thirty or sixty minute (depending on original booking) drop in session, where your dog will still get a toilet break and some enrichment but in a controlled environment where they have access to shade and water. This will be at no extra cost to you.

If this also does not work for you, unfortunately we will have to discuss refunds.

This does mean that my walking availability will be more limited, and my summer slots are booking up fast - so if you would like to get your pets booked in please let me know ☀️

Dolly has elbow dysplasia and needs different medications at different times of day.

Looking after dogs with additional requirements is never an issue, and I keep a full log of what was given when for every pet who needs medication ☺️
