I have finally tidied out the lorry body in field 1 & put all spare equipment in the new storage area 😀

It only took 4 hours! 🤣 Please do keep it tidy or prepare to meet my wrath!! 😜

Also, whoever left their purple trousers in there, they are now in the lost property box in the arena shelter. 👖👖😳

For sale, 2 x lightweight 5 meter tunnels. Suitable for garden use/practise. Can be pegged straight into ground or used with sandbags (not included).
One has some broken stitching on one side (see pics).

***We are looking for some help in exchange for free use of our facilities!**

Wanted someone (or can be 2/3 people together) to come & move the equipment in the fields once a week; specifically the tunnels, weaves & contacts (contacts can be every other week).

Must be able to set equipment up safely & ensure correct lines etc so must be physically fit & an experienced agility handler. Tunnels are predominantly drill in pegs.

Ideally needs to be in the mornings as evenings are generally fully booked but could be at the weekend (doesn’t have to be the same day every week).

Can provide course plans if necessary.

**SOLD***One space has become available on our Iain Patz workshop on Tuesday 11th June, it could either be in the 12-2pm group Grade 1/2 (incorporating Young dogs) or the 2.30-4.30pm group Grade 3/4. £40 for members or £43 for non-members.

** COA Agility Membership** After many requests, we have decided to create a membership scheme for those that use our venue regularly (this is entirely voluntary, you can still continue to use the venue as a non-member).

Members will receive;

Access to a members only group, that will advertise workshops & events prior to them being publicly advertised.
Discounted price for workshops.
Entrance to members only events.

Membership will cost £25 per year (or part of). Renewal will then be 1st June annually.

We have been very lucky to secure some dates with the fabulous Jilly Holness for a series of workshops, these will include distance handling, walking agility & problem solving (running dog walks, spinning on course, lack of drive, weave issues etc etc).

10am -12pm
12.15 -2.15pm
2.45-4.45pm

6 to a group £35 a space.

So, to keep you all up to date with our current venue situation;

Field 1 = Gallican Softline dog walk, Intercan A frame & Seesaw.

Field 2 = All Gallican softline contacts.

Arena = Gallican Intercan Dog walk & Jaycee Jumps Aluminium A frame& See saw.

Please book appropriately dependant on your needs.

Please give me your thoughts on the Arena; it is generally much quieter through the summer as people want to train on grass so I’m thinking about making the arena a Young Dog Zone with lower height Dog Walk, A Frame, channel weaves etc. for the next few months.

The Arena is also a less distracting & smaller environment.

IMPORTANT INFO FOR ALL USERS

If you use the venue as a private hirer, attend a class/workshop or are a trainer running classes, this still applies to you.

1) Dogs MUST be on lead (& attached to you) at ALL times unless in the fields/arena or toilet area. This means 100% of the time. No excuses! Even between your car & gate to area.

2) Gates MUST be shut at ALL times, DO NOT leave the gate open for the person following you, unless you are physically handing the gate to the next person then shut it, no matter how close behind you they are. It only takes seconds for a dog to get through a gate & be loose.

We are based on a working farm with sheep & horses, in close proximity; if your dog gets in with the livestock not only could your dog be seriously injured, YOU will be responsible for any damage/costs. Your dog maybe good with livestock but the livestock may NOT be good with your dog!

Your dog, your responsibility.
You all agree to these rules when you hire the venue or book on a class & there are signs everywhere to remind you.

THESE RULES APPLY TO EVERYONE AT ALL TIMES!

If you see someone not following these rules, please remind them or message me & I will!

Some exciting news for all our users; we are opening a second agility field! (the eagle eyed amongst you may have noticed the field opposite being fenced recently).

However, it is not yet available to book (it will be up & running in the next week or two 😀😀😀).

I am currently working on the booking system to add it so when you go on the usual Planyo site, you may see Agility Field 2 appear.

PLEASE DON’T TRY TO BOOK IT YET AS ITS NOT READY! I have to have it ’live’ sometimes so I can work on it.

I will post on here as soon as it’s available.

So, following on from my previous post about our new equipment; We currently have one spare Gallican Soft Line dog walk in the field, I was thinking of setting one dog walk up at low height for training & leaving one at full height but wondering if this is what people want or whether they would rather have the choice between training on both Soft Line & Intercan?

So please vote;
Like = both dog walks left at full height
Love = softline low & Intercan full size
Laugh = Intercan low & softline full size

We now have a full set of Gallican Soft Line contacts in the arena & a full set of Gallican Intercan contacts in the field. If you want to train on particular equipment, be sure to book the correct area.
These will change around at some point but I will inform you when they do 😀

Come on people, you really need to give me a break if you want to keep using our venue!

Whoever set this up yesterday needs to educate themselves on tunnel safety; this is not safe or even KC legal! S shapes in tunnels no longer happen for a very good reason!

Well done to last night’s trainer who found this & alerted me to it.

Thanks to the person that just ignored the cones in the field parking today & just ran it over & cut the parking up even more! Oh & didn’t even bother to pick up the cone or tell anyone they did it! 🙄🙄🙄

Dear users, as you are probably all aware, our venue now gets really busy! This is great & we really want to look after you all, this also means however there is less time for us to go & check courses etc between users.

Please can you all make sure that when you finish your session, you leave the venue in a useable state for the next person (you agree to this in your booking Ts&Cs). This includes;

Leaving a safe & useable course in place.
Putting back contact equipment if you have removed it or lowered it.
Ensuring tunnels are properly bagged.
Not leaving empty jump wings around the course.
Not leaving jump cups on ground, numbers scattered etc.
Putting poles back on jumps.
Picking up poo & putting it in bins (not leaving bagged poo by gate).
Putting your rubbish in the bin.
RAKING HEAVILY USED AREAS in arena.

If everyone takes 5 minutes to do this, it ensures that everyone gets to use a nice, clean & tidy venue. Currently some users are having to rake arena, put equipment back & pick up rubbish/poo before they can even use the course themselves, this is not fair! 😢

If you find the venue untidy when you arrive, please message me & let me know so I can ‘remind’ the previous user.
