Microchipping.... what has to be done & by when...??

While microchipping your cat isn’t compulsory at the moment, the Government’s announcement in March this year means that all pet cats MUST be microchipped by 10 June 2024, or you could face a fine of up to £500 if you don’t comply.
Microchipping in dogs has been compulsory in England, Scotland and Wales since 6 April 2016 & Puppies must be microchipped by the age of eight weeks old and registered in the breeder's name first before transferring keepership to the new owners.
Above all else, if your pet gets lost or decides to have an adventure & go walk about.... it's piece of mind that when they are picked up & scanned- your details will come up to help get them safely home 🙌💙

Just thought I'd pop on & reintroduce myself as i have had an influx of messages recently & only today have i actually realised how infrequent I update the page! 🤦‍♀️😬

So, Welcome to Chesterfield Pet Microchipping. Im Lucy, a fully trained and qualified pet microchipper covering the Chesterfield area. I specialise in small pets such as Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, Guinea pigs, Ferrets etc....I can do a single pet or full litters of puppies & kittens.
I do this in the comfort of your own home, which avoids the stress and hassle of visiting a vets surgery (it's also alot cheaper!) Or if you prefer to, you are welcome to come to me.
I'm fully insured & have 25+ years of animal experience aswell as currently having pet dogs, chickens & sheep. So rest assured your animals will be in good hands.
I'll chip your pet & give you all the Info on how it works at the time. Whether it's a single animal, or advice on swapping details over to new owners if i chip a full litter. You will also get a microchip card with the chip details on for your future reference.

Good advice here from The Pet Butler-Chesterfield 🐾🐕🐕‍🦺

A message to everyone to be careful as I have received frequent messages with regards to pets especially dogs being stolen in our area! Pet theft is sadly becoming more common. They watch and target homes. Even when you’re home keep your doors locked, keep your dogs close to you on walks and make sure someone is checking up on them whilst you are at work or out the house for long periods of time. It’s one of the main reasons I no longer have branding on my van and don’t share my locations. Look out for each other and keep your pets safe! Hopefully the local authorities will crack down on it! 🐾

Called to see my friend earlier.... And look what she's rescued 😍🐰
She found two tiny baby wild rabbits last week on her farm....must have been no more than a few days old... They were very cold, abandoned out above ground, with not much life in them at all.... She brought them in & made a nest in a wash basket. She warmed them up & has been playing mother rabbit by syringe feeding them milk for 8 days now.....🍼
Look now!...They are full of life and growing well.
How cute!! 🥰🐇🐰😍
