Hello everyone!! 👋🏻 For The Love of Pets has been a bit quiet recently. This is due to a change in circumstances that are very exciting!!
I have moved!! Yes the area may have changed but the 5* care your pets deserve still continues!

Two very unlikely best buddies. Barney and Ace! ☺️ These two absolutely adore eachother and love their walks together.
Ace is super fast and loves a good blast, Barney tries but eventually gives up and sits and watches Ace go round and round and round…..
Friends come in all shapes and sizes! 🥰

Very proud of Jimmy today. He made some good choices when faced with a few frustrating situations. Progress is always good but when the progress plays out in difficult scenarios it’s a proud moment for dog and handler. ☺️

Jimmy has the honour of being the first hound to be pictured in the bluebells. 🥰
Jimmy is my special boy and we have been working hard on his frustrations.
Today was a particularly frustrating day for him and we had to do a lot of work to calm him down and lower his threshold.
Behaviour and Training is not always a linear journey. Sometimes we have to go back to go forward. ☺️

Who’s this rather handsome fella….It’s Jimmy!! Jimmy is a very happy boy who loves his walks but can get very frustrated and easily over stimulated. We are working on self control and lowering his threshold with things that he gets very excited about….which is everything! 🤣
I absolutely adore Jimmy’s endless enthusiasm he’s a clown and never fails to make me smile. 🥰

🌟 I offer 1 to 1 training walks for those dogs who need a bit extra 1 to 1 interaction.

This is Harvey. He is a big beautiful bear and I love him. 🥰 Harvey is not a social butterfly and prefers his walks with just me and his brother Hermes. Harvey has come a long way in 4 years when I took him on. I am very proud of him indeed!
We don’t have to like everyone we meet. It’s ok to prefer your own company than the company of others. ☺️

🌟 I offer 1 to 1 walks for dogs who prefer their own company. I have 20 years experience working and handling dogs with behavioural issues including social anxiety.

It is with great sadness I am writing this post.
Mr. Archie, my boy and my constant companion passed away peacefully in my arms at 12:30am on New Years Eve at the grand old age of 13.

Mr. Archie is the reason I do what I do. Rescued at 18 months old as a stray he blew into my life like a hurricane leaving a trail of destruction behind him.
Clever, confident and stubborn Mr. Archie lay down the challenge to me and I accepted!

He pushed me to really listen to dogs and learn their language. To stop and observe and allow dogs to be dogs.
We never stopped training and working with eachother.

I am so proud of the dog Mr. Archie became. Calm, confident and so well balanced. He was a wonderful master of his skills and taught many many dogs how to me ‘More Dog’. Bringing nervous and fearful dogs out of their shells, teaching puppies and young dogs good manors and what it means to be a dog.
Even protecting me from danger on more than one occasion.

My training partner and best friend. My heart is broken and I am so sad but the love I feel for you burns so strong.

I didn’t lose Archie.
I gained Archie.

Thank you for your love and loyalty and all the wonderful memories I now play back in my mind.

Until we meet again my boy. 💕💕💕
