❌ RAPESEED! ❌

It’s that time of year again where farmers fields have blossomed into pretty yellow flowers, these plants are called rapeseed. Although it may be tempting to place your dog in the midst to take a scenic photo, please avoid this at all costs!

Rapeseed is extremely poisonous for dogs, especially in highly sensitive canines.

Rapeseed is listed by Dogs Trust as toxic to our dogs if ingested and can cause symptoms such as:

❌Haemolytic Anaemia
❌ Blindness
❌ Damaged Nervous System
❌ Digestive Disorders
❌ Breathing Problems

Even walking through these fields should be avoided! In June 2019, a dog was reported to be suffering from severe open wounds after running through a crop of rapeseed.

Please seek immediate veterinary attention if your dog shows any signs of rapeseed poisoning!

This is another worrying disease transferred via midges (Culicoides species) found in all parts of the UK. Last outbreak was in 2007. We have been receiving updates daily from APHA, it creeping closer, not a good sign at all. Alpacas and goats can be affected, alongside sheep, cattle, deer and other camelids 🥺

APHA: Following routine surveillance, bluetongue has now been confirmed in two animals at a premises near Cantley, Broadland, Norfolk. A 10km Temporary Control Zone has been put in place to minimise spread of disease and while we undertake further investigations to determine if there has been any local spread. Livestock keepers must remain vigilant and follow the restrictions on animal movements. Let’s not forget that it was Defra’s CHOICE to persist in the killing of healthy since 2017 & hide their prior knowledge by dogma & dishonesty-their cover up & deceit were found out by the factual evidence.

It is unbelievable that this behaviour continues, despite their leader Rishi Sunak stating HIS government should act with Honesty & Integrity.

DEFRA This is Shocking ABUSE of Power & a seemingly deliberate act to inflict continued mental anguish on his owner, the country and the wider world, who all watched in abject horror as you chased, dragged & suffocated Geronimo (after you put him in the wrong halter, which closed his nose & stopped airflow) then tied him to the inside of the trailer, so he couldn’t lie down - as alpacas do in transport - compounding the suffocation & torture of this sentient being. All under the watchful eyes of government vets.
All this was done in an attempt to cover up a failing system. Tell the Truth. What happened to Geronimo in his final hours following removal from his home?
