Meet the residents
PANSY
Pansy arrived at the end of March along with Poppy after falling off the roof and breaking her wing. She is a tiny little hen and has settled in very well in the avairy. She will remain with us as she is unable to fly

It’s been a busy week for us, this is wood pigeon baby Summer, he fell out of a nest into someone’s washing line and the first photo was taken by the kind lady who then called us for help. He has been very scared sad and overwhelmed by his sudden loss of his family and his comfort zone of the nest. He is slowly becoming a bit more interested in life, wood pigeons wether adults or fledglings find it so hard to adjust in comparison to feral pigeons. We are having to adapt things for him to find what scenario suits him best here. Wether he could ever be released is uncertain but we are doing our best for him.

Our latest admission Theo came in as an emergency collection, after being down in a garden for 2 days and the kind person asked us for help. It hasn’t been obvious what has been wrong but he was completely flat in both behaviour and body language; Suzanne Chapman has done a great job feeding him as he has shown no interest in eating or drinking. The first photo was taken by the person whose garden he was in, up to this morning we have been really worried there maybe something very wrong and maybe we can’t make him better. But thru today he has picked right up and is eating, interested in his surroundings and voluntarily coming out of his cage. Hopefully he is making a recovery 🙏🤞he certainly looks so much better in the 2nd and 3rd and 4th photo

Meet the residents
WILBUR
Wilbur burst into our lives on 1/9/21, he was found with a badly splayed leg and was kept in a finch cage desperately trying to eat cat food for a few days before the finder contacted us.
He was so distressed and starving when he arrived he wouldn't stop frantically squeaking. It took many hours of swaddling and proper formula tube feeds to calm him down.
He very quickly stole my heart and even to this day is my soul mate. Not only did he need us but I needed him. He's very much a people pigeon now and loves being inside singing. He has the option to go in the avairy with the other pigeons but prefers to be with his humans, he snorts at delivery men and alerts us to cats from his platform looking over the living room window.
Wilburs leg is splayed but it dosent stop him or slow him down. He free flys in the house.
He's very much a handsome pigeon and now almost 2 years old.
