Situated on a unique, riverside location in the countryside village of Whalley, our doggy day care centre has been specially crafted from the ground up to provide your beloved dog with the best active and fun-filled day possible. Our devotion to the enjoyment, safety and care for your dog(s) is at the forefront of everything we do. We have FOUR ACRES of space, making us one of the largest doggy da

y care centres in the Ribble Valley! Our features include half-day and full-day doggy day care (including collection and drop off), which involves dog training, socialisation, and plenty of exercise and play! This is all brought together by the expert care and supervision from our fully trained and experienced team. What is a day at THE BARK PARK like? It starts in the morning, when our branded van arrives to collect your dog and journey to The Bark Park, where they begin their action-packed day! Whether it may be making the most of our custom-made agility courses and equipment, learning new tricks, making new friends, enjoying our plentiful amounts of toys, making the most of our wide and open dog fields, or even taking a nice dip in our on-site river, there is something here for every dog! Our site also includes warm and dry indoor rest areas, meaning if your dog ever fancied a rest, they are free to do so when they please. Rain or shine, every day is a play day! We hold a full doggy day care licence with the Ribble Valley council, giving you piece of mind that your beloved pet is being looked after in very capable hands. All our dogs are fully supervised by our highly trained and experienced staff. According to your specified feeding arrangements, our staff also ensure that your dog is fed and watered. We share large amounts of updates on our social media pages, meaning you can always see what your beloved dog has been up to throughout their day. Your dog can freely socialise with other dogs, helping to build and maintain their social temperaments. Every dog enrolled at The Bark Park is assessed on a case-by-case basis to ensure their full safety. At the end of each day your dog will be cleaned and delivered safely home. THE BARK PARK is owned and managed by Janet Sutton, who is more than happy to discuss any specific enquiries or requirements that you may have, and carefully tailor THE BARK PARK experience to suit you and your dog! THE BARK PARK’s doggy day care will be closed from Tuesday, December 24th, 2024, to Thursday, January 2nd, 2025.

However, our park will still be open for private field hire bookings during our doggy day care’s usual hours. Book online at www.thebarkpark.co.uk/book-online.

From Friday, December 20th to Tuesday, December 24th, we've got a whole bunch of fun Christmas activities and games lined up for your furry friend. It’s going to be a tail-wagging good time!

Don't forget to dress up your furry friend in their favourite Christmas costume! We're setting up our own Christmas photo booth, where we'll be taking some adorable pictures of your pet for you to enjoy. 📸

*Please note, your dog MUST be booked in for doggy day care on the relevant date before attending the event.

Our Little Piece of Heaven

Hello - My name is Janet Sutton, it has been a dream of mine since being very little to have my own business looking after my most favourite animal in the whole world, and I am finally able to do it. Having worked in a sales position for many years, I decided to use money from my pension pot to buy a 4 acre piece of land in Whalley from a local farmer, and thus starting my dream job.

I have had various types of dogs all my life, in the last few years having Golden Retrievers, Lurchers, Dogue De Bordeaux, and currently 2 x Tibetan Terriers. I have had a few litters with my French mastiff Lulu, and Tibetan Terriers Bailey and Lillie (mum and daughter), so I have a lot of understanding of the mating and welping of puppies.

There is nothing more rewarding for me to see a happy dog having fun, so you can rest assured that your beautiful babies will have the best times ever at my park. All our dogs have to have an assessment before being accepted - We don't allow any aggressive dogs, so all our dogs are sociable and very friendly.
