Anyone else's dogs been complete idiots in the heat today?
Had one sat in the water bowl!
One that's just grouchy.

And one that's wanted constant cuddles.... Move it's too hot!

If you are flying out or flying back this weekend please do check the news. There are cancelled flights worldwide, airports shut, credit and debit cards unable to be used, the list is endless.
Unless instructed to do so by owners all dogs will be staying in my care (unless there are any issues and then your emergency contact will need to be called).
Let's not panic, but do keep me in the loop and let's work together, to get everyone home. Safely.

It's a hard life! When I'm not pulling the stair gate off the wall or rolling in freshly cut grass, I like to have a snooze in the sun.
Remember to roll over to get an all over tan.

Good morning all!
A quick one to let you know I have very limited availability now for the rest of the year.
If you're looking to book another holiday for later in the year, please contact me before booking otherwise I may not be able to accommodate. Where possible I am only taking 3 dogs as I find this is my happy number.
This does not impact daycare, but I do have quite a bit of leave booked after the summer.

Good morning! It's now the summer holiday run, the busiest time of the year for dog boarding as you all get to soak up some sun on your holidays.
I have just 2 days off till the end of the summer so please bare with me if I do not reply to your messages straight the way or if there is a lack of social media posts. I will be prioritising messages from owners of dogs I have in at that time. 😎

Morning all, I am now at the position that I need to close my books to all NEW customers for this summer.
As my regulars are aware I like to keep my numbers small while I learn about your dogs and the care they need, there are a few dates I am at full capacity due to change over dates.
However if any existing customers require additional days for boarding or daycare throughout the summer holidays please do get in contact.
I have several dogs waiting for trials any NEW customers will now have to wait till the first week of September unless I have any cancellations. I do have availability later in the year still.
If I get through the summer in one piece 😂 I will be opening my 2025 diary on the 1st September.

Thanks you to all for supporting my business, it's been a challenging year but thanks to you all I've got this! ❤️

Today I have been made aware of another dog that has died in the care of an unlicensed home boarder. A boarder that lied and said they were licensed!
Unfortunately dogs do become ill and things happen but this is one of the main reasons you need to CHECK that your boarder is licensed. A licensed boarder not only is qualified in canine first aid they also know how to deal with emergencies and have procedures in place to do so.
Earlier this month a local licensed boarder called me, a dog in her care was having a seizure and lost the use of it's back legs, between us we made sure all the other dogs were safe while she rushed that dog to the vets, I met her there for support and if needed I would have taken over the dogs in her care. This gave her space and time to make the emergency call to the owners. This is just one way we work together to keep your dogs safe and also why it's so important to have an emergency contact!
My licence is on display in my hallway, unfortunately the council have not yet sent me a new one and my ex partner is still showing on there. I hold the highest star rating that can be awarded to a new boarder, this shows my years of experience with dogs and the qualifications I hold.
Don't risk it and don't leave it too late to start looking for boarding. I always recommend to check your boarder is free before booking your holiday.

Between the showers me and a friend took the dogs for a walk up to the highest point in Leicestershire. All 5 of us returned caked in mud, but luckily missed the hail storm. ❤️

Out jogging with the poodles again today. Flood warnings issued for the waterways of Whitwick and Grace Dieu so sticking to the quiet back roads and out of the woodlands. ❤️🐾

What a day! Woke up with a pounding headache so we all stayed in bed till 10am, doggy cuddles in bed are the best. 4 bookings today so got my admin sorted. Went for a walk and jog with the poodles which they loved and cleared my head. Played with the little one. New fence arrived 😁 Had a lovely chat with Sandra at Woody woods. ❤️🐾
