UK wide delivery

Please bare with us while we put in place a UK wide courier contract TNT have now been taken over by FedEx and as you can appreciate the current Royal Mail strike action has created some delays. Hopefully we will have a low cost courier service in place shortly.

More products are being added and we have received a few requests based on restricted size access or confined storage compartments and we aim to offer a suitable battery product to meet requirements.

Leisure storage batteries 12 volts and in two sizes 75amp and 110amp. To enable combinations to be set up in various capacities for either 12 volt or 24 volt storage systems. These are commercial grade deep cycle storage batteries not to be confused with the lead acid leisure batteries hence the price difference. They are a British product and we will provide a 3 year manufacturers warranty. Maintenance free. Gel rather than liquid. They can be used upright or on their side ( do not place upside down this will void the warranty) this enables greater scope for their applications. Suitable for extreme environments and weather conditions, off grid, off road vehicles, marine applications, campervans and caravans. The outer casing is fire proof. We can supply the 75 amp battery for £165 and the 110 amp battery for £215 plus postage costs or they can be collected from our farm at ML5 2QP. Please allow seven days at present for delivery while we establish a good courier company.

Aftermarket lithium ion battery 18volt 4amp as shown in picture with orange tab. This is a direct replacement for the makita 18volt 5 amp rechargeable battery. The battery comes with our two year manufacturers warranty. It has been fully field tested to enable us to guarantee the quality of the item. The equivalent makita battery costing £100 plus we can supply this battery for £56 plus postage. Delivery times are currently up to seven days while we establish the best courier. UPDATE

There hasn’t been any activity on this page for a while. We have been very busy firstly fighting our way through round over all the obstacles that seem to be in the way preventing individuals generating their own off grid systems.

We have now linked up with a Scottish battery manufacturer of commercial leisure batteries and a company based in England that manufactures lithium ion batteries.

We will be posting a few products this week and our product range will gradually expand.

We will be focusing on the supply of two commercial grade gel leisure storage batteries 12 volt - 75 amp and 110 amp.

We will also be supplying replacement batteries for cordless power tools and surron trail bikes as well
as Oset trail bikes.

We have also set up an off grid power supply system on our farm charged from solar panels and we are currently designing and making a water turbine which will hopefully be of interest to everyone.

I have now had two very promising meetings with a Glasgow company which designs and manufactures storage batteries. I thought I knew a lot about batteries, I now know a lot more thanks to the wealth of knowledge they have from 30 years in the industry. Hopefully in a week or so I will be able to offer commercial storage batteries of various sizes with a 12 month warranty and most importantly at wholesale prices. Combined with a courier service at modest rates covering Scotland.
I look forward to updating you on the new stock range once in place.

After much hammering drilling clanging and banging the wind turbine has been assembled. Just some final adjustments required then to figure out how to get it out of the workshop to test it in the wind - this is the first version so I don’t expect it to work perfectly there’s always room for

High demand for batteries - recognising the many applications people are using the leisure storage batteries for and with their being such a high demand I have contacted a few commercial suppliers. My aim is to be able to supply either new or reconditioned batteries at as close to wholesale prices as possible. So hopefully I will be able to expand the range of batteries I can provide and at the same time keep costs low for everyone.

Battery storage - One of the biggest expenses in setting up off grid or making the most of your solar panels is the battery storage. To make this easier I have sourced suitable batteries which new cost £220 but have been used commercially for 12 months, they have been tested to ensure they are working at full capacity. If any are found to be faulty they can be returned for a replacement within 30 days of purchase. We currently supply 75A for £60 and 55A for £45. This enables you to slowly build up a battery bank at a pace and budget that suits you. Pictures on the site provide details of power ratings and dimensions, there are also suggested connectors and cables which I have tested. Yuasa 110Ah available for £100 on a pre order basis.

As a farmer in central Scotland I have spent many years trying to find a way to adopt solar wind and hydro. Hopefully government funding will become available to enable every farm in Britain to have renewable power generation with battery bank storage and feed into the National Grid. Until then most renewable systems are outwith the reach of most farmers, smallholders and homeowners. So I have found a reliable uk supplier for solar systems bought and tested their equipment and have now established a supplier of affordable batteries. The batteries I am selling through this site and I am currently developing and testing an economical wind turbine that anyone can instal and importantly repair.
