Style 2 Rescue

Wow what a weekend. I went do compete and support Style 2 Rescue. This wonderful competition is a grooming competition where dogs provided by rescue charities supply dogs that we groom. This is held at The Kennel Club in Stoneleigh.

I was very luck and had a gorgeous working cocker spaniel called Harvey. He was provided by Spaniel Aid. Harvey is currently seeking a home to call his own and he details can be found on the Spaniel Aid page. I handstripped his coat as he is such a gorgeous colour I was not about to clip it!

For the first time Spaniel Aid were super lucky as Harvey and I were selected as one of the top 5 out of 36 competitors of the AM class. This meant that we had placed somewhere in the top 10 of over 70 competitors!

Once the PM class had finished and the top 5 selected from there, we all lined up in the ring to be given our placings. I was in total shock to be placed in the final ten and to be placed 8th was amazing. To be able to give back and help rescue dogs is amazing 🐾

A massive thank you to all, Jitka, organisers, judges, trade stands, charities, groomers, sponsors and helpers and anyone else who I may have forgotten.... I hope to be able to help next year :-)

Salon Groomer Of The Year Competition 2024

🐾 2nd place in Handstrip 🐾

Today has been amazing. My first ever in person competition and nothing like throwing caution to the wind, I took 2 dogs!

It has been an amazing day and it was great to meet everyone. Hopefully I can return next year.

Special thanks to the organisers, judges and not forgetting a best friend for helping me with managing the boys x x
