Gamay’s back!

It’s only been 2 weeks since we’ve seen her and she’s doubled in size.

We brought uncle Ralphie along to assist her on her first day back with some recall training.

She did very well.

No matter what breed of dog you have, mental stimulation is just as important as physical exercise.

Some breeds require more stimulation than others, but all dogs benefit from activities that engage their minds.

I’ve just taken two empty dog food tins and turned them into some delicious frozen treats for my boys.

On the left, we have goat’s milk, blueberries, apple, strawberry, and carrots, with one large carrot added to make removal from the tin easier.

On the right, it’s the same fruits and vegetables, but frozen in beef bone broth, again with a large carrot to help ease removal.

Something as simple as this can give your dog plenty of fun, along with that all important mental stimulation, and it’s easy to do.

So what do you do to help keep your dog mentally stimulated?

Snow and bluebells are my favourite backdrops for photographing my boys.

But snowy, gritted paths can burn their pads, so winter walks are kept to 20 minutes max for their safety.
