Meet sweet Pablo. The poor thing was pelted throughout which resulted in us giving him a lion cut. He was very anxious throughout the grooming process but he must have felt relieved as he was giving out slow blinks during the frequent breaks. We had to complete the grooming over 2 days as he was getting too stressed out. Not my usual standard for a lion cut but, in this case, the priority was to get rid of the mats without stressing him out too much.

Presenting Hilly with her new look! She was apprehensive when I arrived and hid at the top of the stairs peeking down. She was still a bit fidgety and nervous during the grooming session but she handled it much better this time, especially when I was gently and steadily grooming her chest and belly areas! 👏

One of my favourite senior client, Mr Sherlock. Due to busy schedules, we missed the 8 week cycle so he developed some mats and a build up of dead undercoat. But he was a very good and strong boy during the grooming session. He even stayed on the table to watch me pack up 🥰

I had the pleasure of grooming Heidi, a gorgeous 12 year old ragdoll. She had mats on her chest, belly and back of the legs that needed removing and lots of fluff that needed to be brushed out. With careful and steady handling of her limbs, I managed to remove all the mats and give her a good thorough groom through. Now's she's all fluffy and mat free! 😸 Unfortunately, like Huffy, I'd forgotten to take a photo of her, only the amount of fluff I brushed out 🤦‍♀️

Meet Blue (aka Bluey), a gorgeous ragdoll. She had mats on her chest, belly and back of the legs that needed removing and lots of fluff that needed to be brushed out. She was very squirmy but mum held her and we got there in the end 🤗😸

Meet my oldest client yet, Huffy, a black short-haired cat! He's 21 years old and still solid for his age! (Unfortunately, I'd forgotten to take a picture of Huffy 🤦‍♀️ but I'll grab one the next time I see him) He's too old to groom himself properly and was badly matted from the waist down and sadly has bad arthiritis. He was strong enough (with the support from his mummy's cuddles) to tolerate a full groom and the teasing out of looser mats. He didn't complain much 💪We managed to get him back into a good shape, look how much we got off him! 😃

I also groomed his sister and aunty too but I'll post those separately 😊

Meet Peach and Winston, gorgeous long-haired cats. They had quite a few tight mats on their chests, side, tummy and back of the legs. Lucky for them, they have enough fluff to hide the bald areas 😸 They were very fidgety but not aggressive. With teamwork with their dad holding them throughout the session, we managed to get all the mats off safely. With consistent sessions, I'm sure they'll learn that it's not all that bad and that they'll enjoy being pampered

Cosmo, looking dapper after his groom. He had quite a few mats that needed removing and had lots of dead undercoat. With consistent sessions, I'm sure he'll eventually learn that grooming sessions aren't as bad as he thinks 😺

I had the pleasure of meeting Edwin (Maine C**n x Bengal) and Bailey (BSH Domestic x). They were both very brave and came to greet me at my grooming table.

Bailey is an anxious cat so I started slow and steady. She did such a wonderful job during her grooming session, she remained calm and didn't fidget much at all. Her parents were very proud of her 👏.

Edwin is sweet and brave but isn't a fan of being groomed, especially nail clipping. I'll be seeing him again in 8 weeks and I've provided some tips and guidance on what his parents can do in the meantime to help Edwin realise that it's not as bad as he thinks and that we're not trying to hurt him. I'm determined with consistent visits, we'll gain his trust.

Cheeky Bodhi has certainly come out of his shell! 😸 He's no longer anxious about his grooming sessions - he just chills in his tree straight after. With all the slow blinks he's given me, I think it's safe to say we've now become best friends ❤️

Remember Elvis the fluffy black cat? He did such an amazing job at his grooming session today! I think he's come to realise grooming is too bad at all!

We also had his brother, Alfie, join us today. He wasn't too keen on the session but we managed to give him a thorough groom through and removed the mats from behind his leg. With consistent visits, I'm sure, like Alfie, he'll learn it's not as bad as it seems 😸

Gorgeous Hilly after her grooming session. She was feeling apprehensive about the session but with safe handling and tools (and teamwork with her human parents), we managed to give her a thorough groom through and removed all the built-up dead undercoat. Consistency is key and with regular grooming sessions, I'm sure she'll eventually realise it's not too bad and enjoy being pampered 😸

Elvis, the black fluffy cat, after his grooming session. He was a bit apprehensive at the start but then realised grooming wasn't too terrible after all and even stayed on the table all by himself at one point! He did not require as much holding as before and his mummy was very proud of him for how well he did 👏

It's not only a pleasure to see a familiar face, but it's also very rewarding to see the progress they're making! 🤩 Bodhi is becoming braver every time I see him. This time, he jumped up onto the grooming table himself!

Elvis had some mats that needed removing. He's not a big fan of being groomed and being recently adopted and in a fairly new environment made him even more anxious.  He tried to wriggle his way out but with safe and secure handling methods and grooming techniques, all the mats on his lower back, upper body and his chest were removed, and the session ended off with a full groom through 😸

Loki never comes out when there are visitors so it was a huge achievement for him to feel comfortable to join us for a grooming session! 😻

Beautiful Layla after her grooming session. She isn't a fan of being groomed as she has severe arthritis but she did well whilst I got all her mats on her underbelly, back of her legs and lower back removed. Consistency is key and with regular grooming sessions, she won't need to be clipped anymore 😸
