Hello everyone! It’s been a busy summer!
Last weekend I had the pleasure of looking after these two cuties, we did lots of walking and saw some sights which as you can see they really enjoyed 😴 promise I wasn’t trying to give them a boring history lesson!
I always enjoy looking after them.. lovely cheeky ages ❤️💙

We’ve had a furry friend to stay this week, what fun it’s been!
Gorgeous monty and totally full of beans all the time, Olive loves playing all day long but now is ready for a rest as she has already taken herself to bed! 🐶🦮💚

A quiet week for Families Food and Fur last week 🤍
Lots of time exploring new routes for dog walks and lots of training with our dog Olive. Her whistle and recall training is coming on so well, we still go back to the long line occasionally just to reinforce the radius from us but all good progress 🐶

Half term fun learning on a rainy Monday morning ... accompanied by oat cookies and homemade scones!
I think it’s so important to learn about recycling, why we do it, what can and can’t be recycled! Also finding out what options there are for things that can’t go in your normal recycling bin.
Matilda really enjoyed creating this poster! 🌍 ♻️ ✏️

Homeschooling comes in all shapes and sizes... today the wifi hasn’t worked all day so we made the most of baking & riding!
Using Brownie and Blueberry muffin recipe - which were delicious 😋
Then practicing changing the speed within the pace by using our seat and not relying on hands! A good day all round I’d say! 🦄

Being at home is encouraging us to cook a little more and get everyone involved.
So last night I was sous chef to Matilda and she cooked us all a wonderful 3 course dinner...
We had blinis and some tasty cheesy chorizo tarts as a canapé, salmon Caesar salad with garlic/rosemary potatoes and to finish delicious chocolate brownies!
It was super tasty very proud of her!

We’ve had the lovely Olive for 4 months now, what a transformation it’s been.. she takes everything in her stride and learns things so quickly!
I’d hate to think what she may have been through for the first 2 years of her life but we can only make sure she has a good one with us! 🧡

Happy Monday! 🐶 A big walk this morning and then an afternoon of snoozing in the warm for this silly pair 🤩 Olive tolerates Oscar’s fidgeting for a while until she gives up and sleeps!! ❄️

Warm milk sprinkled with marshmallows and chocolate sat in the afternoon sun at the park - what a lovely final afternoon with my charge. New & exciting beginnings for me and them ❤️

Baking with children...
I always like to be super organised and have an easy recipe to hand. On Friday we made something to suit everyone;
9 year old made jam tarts all by herself 🍓
5 year old helped with biscuit cutting & lemon drizzle cake
2 year old enjoys rolling things and getting messy!
Everyone enjoyed icing the biscuits! 🦄🍭

Then of course we all love homemade pizzas when you can put on whatever you like, salami and tonnes of mozzarella was a hit with all all 4! 💛

One incredibly happy 9 year old this week! 🎂I really enjoyed making this cake because I had free rein as I was told not milk/dark chocolate and vanilla cake so lovely to just have fun looking on Pinterest for ideas and then do what I wanted! 💞 🎂 😁 9️⃣ 🎉

Weekends with furry friends .. this is the best we are going to get for this lockdown month! 🧡 2 great autumnal walks; Hill Head coastline and butser hill and dog agility course!
Olive & Oscar have enjoyed lots of training and mind games in the garden too - don’t forget this is a huge part of your dogs stimulation! 😁🦮🍁☀️🎾 #2020

A rainy Sunday morning well spent, we had my niece, nephew & goddaughter for a sleepover last night and they have been little angels ♥️ a bit of a wet dog walk but who doesn’t like jumping in puddles? lots of playing, stories, fun ... and of course pancakes! 🥞🍓☔️👧🏼👦🏼👩🏼

What a lovely end to the polo season, watching our team win in the final of the last tournament!
Having never watched a polo match before this year, I enjoyed grooming, holding spares and learning whats going on! 🤩
Putting the ponies out for the winter is so lovely to see - they deserve their time off getting FAT & fluffy! 🐷🌽🧡🦄 🌽
