Due to having osteoarthritis, Merlin had been having gradual mobility issues including stumbling for two to three years and occasional ‘knuckling’ on his back legs (catching the tops of his toes on the ground). He was already on some medications to try and help with pain management, but this was limited as he has a sensitive tummy, ruling out the use of some drugs.
Fast forward to 3 months ago, his worried owner decided to try a monthly injectable treatment to see if these could help.
Success…He is now holding himself better and lifting his paws higher. He is also off all the original pain relief except the occasional half a paracetamol for days when he’s really exerting himself. It’s been life changing and it’s been 3 years since since his owner has seen him do Zoomies like the one in the video.
He is much happier and has a very different demeanour.
We’ve been told it’s (the injections), changed his life.
He looks forward to his walks and greets his walker with his lead now, and celebrated his 11th Birthday recently.
Think the cat is very puzzled to see him suddenly exhibiting his new found energy.

We now have the option of an injectable ectoparasite product with a 12 month duration. This prevents/controls both Fleas and Ticks in dogs ( not available in this form for cats), with just a single dose.
If you would like to know more about this medication, please feel free to call or email us.

One of our first patients to have this is Cadi, who seemed unperturbed by having her injection. What a star! 😁
Has your pet ever had a heart scan?
Here is Lincoln, one of our nurses dogs, modelling our very exciting, new ultrasound machine!
An ultrasound scanner uses sound waves to make pictures of organs, tissues, and other structures inside of the body.
Ultrasonography is frequently used in practice as a diagnostic tool and sometimes as a monitoring tool. We commonly use ours in practice for abdominal scans and heart scans (echocardiogram).
In this video, Lincoln is showing a small snippet of what goes on behind the scenes of an ‘echo’ 🫀
