🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️ You just keep it short 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
I am a Cockapoo owner, who doesn’t brush their dog every day…
I know!!!! Omg!!!! Practice what you preach woman!!
But wait, here’s why:
I don’t have time/energy 🤷♀️
I bloody love my Lenny!!! He’s amazing! But at Lovemud HQ we have a busy life/house, and I live in a permanent state of desiring a nap!
I love him long, fluffy and teddy beary, but that takes…
DAILY TIME & COMMITMENT!!!
“My mummy laydee is a lazy moo head…”
Lenny Lovemud
⭐️⭐️So I keep it simple:⭐️⭐️
Lenny is kept short on the body (6mm, prob drop to a #7 in summer, if it ever arrives!), inside the back legs, hygiene, tummy, under ear & extended armpits are all cleared with a #10.
🤷♀️ Less length = less knotting! 🤷♀️
I do leave the face, tail and (outside) ears a little longer. I probably check these areas for tangles every day during our essential evening cwtch, and brush them (and the rest of him as he starts growing) once a week.
BUT…
If you DO want your dog fluffy/long/teddy beary…
🧸YOU WILL NEED TO BRUSH EVERY DAY!!!🧸
NB: If you’ve kept your dog long and floofy, but haven’t brushed it in 2 months… please don’t expect your groomer to achieve the stunning floofy style you desire in 2 hours (or any duration!) - the only option for a tangled/matted coat (in line with Section 9 of the Animal Welfare Act), is to clip that tangled coat off super short, and start again!
“And I barks for all da floofs, when I says we donts like bein’ clipped offs super short suddenlys… it feelses weird an we lookses like plucked clucky chicken fings… 🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓” Lenny Lovemud
One thing to remember… short, long, somewhere in between… it’s the owners job to maintain and the groomers job to style!
Look after ya floofs people!!!
