Breeding your female dog?
Have you considered everything and risks involved?!

Pre-eclampsia & Eclampsia are serious conditions that can occur during pregnancy and after the babies are born.

⛔️ Pre-eclampsia is a condition that can occur during late pregnancy. This can be caused by a significant drop in calcium levels.

Symptoms can be ⬇️

⚠️ Panting
⚠️ Stiffness & difficulty walking
⚠️ Muscle spasms & twitching
⚠️ Decreased Appetite
⚠️ Seizures
⚠️ Restlessness & anxiety
⚠️ Elevated heart rate

⛔️ Eclampsia is a condition that can occur after giving birth. This again can be caused by a significant drop in your nursing dogs calcium levels. Most common in small breeds with large litters, however, this CAN affect any size dog with any size litter.

Symptoms can be ⬇️

⚠️ Muscle tremors or spasms
⚠️ Agitation & Restlessness
⚠️ Seizures
⚠️ Stiff walking
⚠️ Weakness or unwillingness to walk
⚠️ Panting
⚠️ Rapid heart rate
⚠️ High body temperature

Both of these conditions can be life threatening & if you suspect your female dog is suffering from either of these conditions it is extremely important to seek proper veterinary attention as soon as possible.

Ensuring your female dog is receiving the proper vitamins & minerals her body needs during & after pregnancy is extremely important and this can be done simply through a proper balanced diet, in doing so this can help prevent these conditions from occurring.

Knowing when to breed your female is extremely important. Every female is different, cycles are different and ovulation days can differ!

Cytology is a pain free, instant way to know if your female is ready to mate or not. A collection of cells indicates whether your female has still to ovulate, ovulating or past ovulation. It also helps detect if your female is having a split or false season and can pick up on other things such as bladder worms, infections and unwanted bacteria.
