Beechwood Cattery - Cottingham

In regards to our job advert as I've caused confusion 🤣

The hours are 8 am to 12 midday, one morning a week which will change (its not a set day every week) but we usually do a months notice on the days.

We also require holiday cover, so when we are away (although not often), we will need someone who can work every morning during that period (again, notice given).

We also need someone who can work during school holidays.
This wouldn't be suitable for someone who already works full time and only has a set day off a week unfortunately.

Its also not a cat cuddling position 🤣 theres alot of bending and lifting involved with cleaning and can be dirty work.

Would be suitable for someone retired or out of work and looking for a little something to do to break up the week

We are looking for some help at the cattery - to work along side our current staff member. Covering a morning a week minimum (so me and rob can have a morning off 🤣).

Needed for holiday cover too.

Hours are 8 am -12 midday (usually midweek) we are not on a bus route so must be able to drive.

18+ due to nature of work, perfect for someone wanting a little something to do in their spare time.
* This is a year round position so must be available during school holidays*

Will include feeding, cleaning and seeing customers in/out. Experinece with cats is essential as sometimes cats can be difficult to box but full training will be given.

*Note to add - the days will change weekly (obviously notice given) as we don't get the same day off each week - there is holiday cover too which can be every morning for the period we are away. Would be suited to someone retired who doesn't work and can be flexible*

Minimum wage + discount on boarding! 😸

We've been chipping away updating our website! (I would like to say these last few weeks, but in reality its taken me a while 🤣)

We now have a new FAQ section 🐈
I've hopefully covered all the main things we get asked - right from vaccinations - checks - routines - medication.

All cats must be fully vaccinated against cat flu and feline enteritis. We must see an up to date certificate which has been filled in and signed from your vets.

For those who have cats boarding with us, we've just checked and all are absolutely fine with the fireworks!
Radios are on, and will be on all night - most of them are asleep in bed, a few of them chilling on scratch post - none are stressed in anyway 😊🎆

🌟 ADJUSTMENT TO OPENING TIMES 7/8TH NOVEMBER 🌟

Due to us attending a wedding of close friends, we are adjusting some opening hours in November.

Friday 7th November - closed for drop off/collections
Saturday 8th November - closed AM - open an extra hour so 3-5pm only.
Back to normal 9th November onwards.

We have contacted everyone this affects, but if you've not heard from us give me a nudge!

🌟 HOLIDAY 🌟

Hi guys! We are finally taking a few days off next week (13th-17th October).
We've worked non-stop (apart from a few days off here and there) since we were away in January so decided to spend some time as a family for our wedding anniversary! 😲

Dont worry though, the cattery is in expert hands as Sue (mother hen) will be back in charge for us holding down the fort along with Karen/Sarah ❤️

My aim is to be on my phone as little as humanly possible so facebook messages and emails will be replied to on our return.

We will glance over messages etc but if it's an emergency/requires immediate response please call the cattery directly from next week.

The bit no one gets to see 🤣🙈 the reality of 18 pens going home yesterday, all to be thoroughly cleaned, washed and prepped for the cattery to fill back up again from tomorrow 😁
