This is not a shaming post(!) Just some information on how to best help your dogs this winter

1. If you want your dog to have a fluffy coat still, this can be totally manageable. Please remember this requires a lot of brushing at home, everyday.

2. If you do struggle to keep ontop of the brushing at home, let us know. We can help by offering bath and brush appointments or work on a schedule that is better for you and your dog.

3. If you haven’t already a metal comb and a slicker brush are what you need! (The ones without bobbles in the pins!)

4. Brush your dog after they wear their harness, coat or collar, these cause friction on your dogs coat which help matting occur faster

5. If you do have to bath your dogs at home, make sure they are dried correctly and again brushed through. Wetting the coat and insufficient drying can again help mats form and grow bigger!

Please remember, we don’t enjoy shaving off matted coats. It is defiantly not the easy option for us, but it is the safest and kindest way on your dogs skin to prevent welfare issues!

Short-coated dogs need grooming too!

Regular grooming isn’t just for fluffier breeds, it keeps short coats healthy and shiny by removing loose hair and dirt and distributing natural oils.

Grooming sessions also give me a chance to check for any skin issues or bumps that might go unnoticed. If your short-coated dog could use a little extra care, book in for a session to keep them looking and feeling their best.

Lilly is over the moon with her new coat 😂😂

Her new Equafleece works amazingly to keep her dry on wet walk, especially with the amount of coat she has before the competition! Although she does look silly…my house appreciates her sacrifices 🥰

Hi Everyone,
Writing this post as we’re the closest groomers to the venue.
On the 16th&17th November there is a grooming competition at the royal court hotel.

Groomers are looking for Poodles, Poodle Mixes to compete with.

They will be groomed by some AMAZING groomers.

Let me know if you have anything suitable, it’s only for a couple of hours, must have at least 6 weeks growth, no knots, ok with other dogs and being groomed. 🙂
