The life span of Thorn, still unreserved, a bit like her personality, friendly and sociable, always wanting to be in the middle causing mischief or offering to help with a foot rub 😂 or maybe jealous that she’s not getting the cuddles… She looks like a baby cheetah in the sunset light which highlights her subtle ginger patches… She’s adorable and would be a great companion. Breeding is so difficult, every breeder I know has suffered big losses and had health concerns, not all share their realities online, so people get a false idea of how easy it is, both financially and emotionally, there are highs and there are lows.

Today has been a massive low, then it’s compounded by this message from the family that had reserved Lumina. No condolences, no sympathies, no questions at all in fact, just a rejection and inference that I am untrustworthy and would home an unhealthy kitten. I bend over backwards for my Queens and their baby’s and it continues once the kittens leave us, I am always a call or text away, on hand with advice, free medication, information. I pride myself on my honesty and integrity. This felt like being kicked when I was down.

But then I took time to reflect, we had held onto Lumina, as the family were going on holiday, we were keeping her until September, but we had fallen in love with her and would joke that if she wasn’t reserved we would keep her as she’s so perfect. Great muzzle, great tips and eyes, nice sturdy body with good proportions, long tail and personality is A+ such a character!

So we have lost Petra, today, but gained Lumi… 😿😻
