☀️ W A R M - W E A T H E R - P O L I C Y ☀️
We’ve (finally) had some beautiful sunny days which have brought some warmer temperatures with them. Although for some of us this is great, for our dogs it means they can start to struggle to regulate their own temperatures.
So we will be watching the temperatures closely and we will swap walks to home visits for those who need them. Our priority is your dogs welfare, followed closely by my priority making sure my wonderful team are safe too.
For the dogs that do go out for walks with us this coming week (and in future warm weather conditions), as always we will have fresh water with us offering your dogs water on regular stops throughout their walk, we’ll walk in shadier areas where possible and we will reduce your dogs excited play by using low level impact play techniques which will allow your dogs to still have the pawsome walks they do with us, but without running the risk of them collapsing or getting heat stroke.
I’ll be sharing a blog post shortly about tips on how to stay cool through the summer ☀️

Wow it’s been another warm day today! We are all carrying water with us for the dogs, so they can have breaks in their walks and have drinks to keep hydrated.
We’ll be monitoring the weather over the next week and let clients know if we need to swap to home visits or do reduced sessions. The safety and wellbeing of our crew is paramount and we won’t go for walks if it’s not safe to do so.

Cora hasn’t been feeling 100% over the last few weeks, and we’ve been doing home visits instead of walks, but she’s recently started to feel more back to her usual self, with the help of some medication from the vets, and today we had a very slow and gentle plod along the pavement, just taking it nice and easy for her 🐕
