Well that's my clippers hung up for Christmas🎄

Ted all ready to hit the snow❄️

Wet weather is a big cause of them dreaded mats in the dogs coat, especially non shedding doggys🐾

Heavy matting can be very uncomfortable for our doggys. They can cause irritations, pain and skin infections. They can also prevent doggys movement and even cut off circulation😔

Fortunately Teds mam has Ted in the salon every 5-6 weeks, brushes him regularly and dresses him in his super cool coat💙🤍

Cockerpoo Miggy looking all smart after his puppy pamper

Puppy introductions are so important and I recommend these from 12 weeks of age.

For the curly wurly pups like Miggy❤️, I recommend monthly visits until they are around 6 months old. Then depending on their coat, they can be ready for their first big girl/boy haircut✂️
After that cockerpoo's if possible should have full grooms every 6-8 weeks🐾

Keeping our doggy's safe on Bonfire night🎆🎇

It's not nice seeing our pups react to fireworks. Some can shake, cry, become withdrawn or restless and some can pace. They can even lose their appetite and not eat their food.

Some tips we can try to make them feel a little more comfortable and safe are:

*Making sure there is a place in the house for them to hide and feel safe.
*Close your windows and curtains to hide away the sound and flashes.
*Play music to cover over the banging.
*Avoid taking them out in the evening for their walks, only through the day.
*Reassure them, creating a relaxed environment within our home. When we are relaxed, it helps them to relax.

But a little dicky bird tells me she loves puddles and mud❤️ We had lots of fun playing in the bath and chewing the brush. She left the salon strutting her big girl spaniel cut 🙄

Meet Denzel and Dibble❤️ (brilliant names) Two very handsome Cocker spaniels. They have a strong bond together and we're checking on each other, when the other was being groomed, very cute!! (Please ignore my hideous voice 🤣)

Retriever Heaven🧡 D o u g 💚 B a i l e y 💙 L e x i 🩷 What a breed!!! Super fun with these 3 beauts!! Double coated breeds, shedding their undercoats. A nice natural tidy up for all three doggys. Golden Retrievers ❤️

Introducing Lily🩷 to the Mcpaws pack. What a girl!🤍 She rocked the Chow independence, very dignified and wow what a tongue (blue) Lily had a full de-shed, cut and style. Removing her dead undercoat.
