This week, I went out with Oscar and his mum and we worked on our Reactivity Care management techniques in the real world!
He did absolutely amazing and I couldn't be more proud.

We are not just working on Reactivity Care Management on walks but we are also working on desensitisation with the door bell🔔
The key thing with any training is to work out what is triggering the behaviour in the first place and plan ways to prevent and manage it and create positive associations!
That's what's great about the training programmes, you can choose to work on 1 training concern, or multiple!

This week Oscar started his Reactivity Care Management programme, which was a huge success working on the foundations with no distractions setting him up for success!
He picked everything up so quickly and this will prepare him and his mum up for the next steps of the training.

What is Canine Hoopers?
It is a low impact dog sport that has no sharp turns or jumps, going through hoops and tunnels and around barrels. Hoopers is open to all dogs of any breed or age (from 16 weeks).

Lexi's face shows how well her training session went yesterday! Even with the horrid weather that's made a return 🙈.
I went on a walk with Lexi and her mum to practice the foundations and how to manage any scenarios which may come up when out and about.

Stanley had his 2nd session from his puppy package last week, how cute is he in this photo? 😍
We have been adding a nap routine to prevent mouthing and his family have noticed a huge difference in his behaviour ☺️.
Whenever I see a puppy who is mouthing, chewing or being destructive, the first question I ask is how much sleep do they get a day?
Most of the time when a puppy is showing unwanted behaviours, it is because they are over tiered!

A lovely session last week with Milo, who is a cheeky pup stealing socks 🧦 🙈. We worked on the leave cue, we haven't fully added the verbal cue yet but marking when he looks at something and reward away from the object. He has achieved so much in one session and I even got a video of him working on his homework. Superstar! 🌟
Yesterday Lulu had a training walk with her owner Anne. We worked on walking on a long line to help Lulu relax and decompress which she will really benefit from when it comes to her Reactivity Care Management. Walking with both a new born baby and your dog can be scary, believe me I've been there! When I found out I was pregnant, I designed a training plan to prepare my dogs for when my baby arrived. Walking with a pram can really be scary for a dog. So going slowly to introduce it is key 🗝️. Lulu who is currently on a training programme for Reactivity Care Management, had a training walk today to work on her clicker when out and about. After about 1 minute we were able to use the clicker to help Lulu disengage when seeing dogs out on our walk. Super star 🌟 well done Lulu
