This dog couldn't even go outside a few months ago π§
Without reacting at thin air.
Over the course of a few months, working with Odin, Sam and Graeme - this is the result.
Other dogs in the background barking, no issues.
Reactivity dropping every day.
All of this comes from a series of simple drills, meaningful conversations and understanding of our dog.
These owners are a fantastic example of what is possible when you really care and want to understand your dog.
Reality is, this training is all a means to an end.
We train our dogs not so they listen and obey. We train them so they can have more chance to BE A DOG.
Be off lead, having fun, sniffing, exploring. But at our side at a single word. We train to give ourselves and our dogs confidence, and the chance to be real f**king dogs π€
May I also add that Odin now has a better recall than most dogs who have been being trained since a puppy π

Let's talk dogs, what is dog training REALLY
Its fundamentally about gaining a mutual understanding with your dog.
It's opening an two way communication channel which you can use to teach your dog to make good choices.
Your dog doesn't want to get in trouble and your dog isn't making your life hell on purpose. They need to be taught what is right, and what is wrong.
How do we do this?
We do this by establishing markers. Markers are a clear indication that something is right or wrong. We encourage the good behaviour, the good choices, and we discourage the bad choices and set clear boundaries.
Over time, your dog begins to understand what we expect from them - and have a more fulfilling, fun and satisfying life in return.
Training isn't just teaching them not to jump on the couch. It's about increasing quality of life. It's about increasing your dogs confidence. It's having FUN and messing around, and in return - you get a FAMILY MEMBER.
We integrate your dogs, into your life.
Now that's worth it's weight in gold.
I'd like to thank everyone for an amazing, amazing year.
We've had the pleasure of working with some of the most wonderful people and dogs I've ever met - and made several life long friends in the process βΊοΈ
I can't wait to see what great things we can accomplish this year to come.
To all of the new dogs we have starting in January, welcome to the team and here's to you π€π€
And to @furtheloveofdogs.grooming - thank you for having my back and pushing me forward when even I am doubting myself. You're the best partner in business and in life.
HELL ON EARTH? ππ₯
THE TEENAGE PHASE!
HERE ARE 3 TIPS TO NAILING YOUR TRAINING. π―
This is a bit longer form, but there is no way to discuss it otherwise.
Reward correctly.
Communicate clearly.
Small, often, consistent training.
This is the time in a dogs life where they are most likely to be given up, rehomed.
All dogs deserve a forever home, so build that bond, become a family and nail that training. Be together for life. π€
It's okay to ask for support, it doesn't have to be paid support. Drop me a DM or a comment if you need advice.

TUGπ₯
Believe it or not, some dogs need taught how to play and do tug, fetch etc. It's not a built in add-on! π
Enjoy some heavy breathing as I talk through enticing toy drive using a basic exercise π―

LEARN TOUCH π―
Why is touch a command we teach as a foundation? It looks and feels useless? π€
Touch is a fantastic foundational command and can be used in hundreds of ways.
Teaching people about training dogs is about equipping them with a toolkit of knowledge, to achieve their goals.
Touch should be in the top drawer of the toolbox πͺ
Here are a few examples! π₯

WALK & TRAIN β€οΈ
W&T is becoming a popular option, and I can see why. We come, do a consultation and begin your dogs training with you.
After a few sessions with us, we can then walk and train your dog, unattended - ideal for those at work who want to keep on top of their training.
We have periodic sessions in person to ensure the training is consistent and having the desired affect π
Happy family, happier doggo, happiest trainer - because we love working dogs π₯°
