Pride ππΌ
He's getting better with traffic and not panicking half as much at little things. He really enjoys going out more especially with Rita!
He can pace sometimes but does get into a normal trot rhythm if you rise. I find him so much fun! Brings back memories of jumping on and off horses for a fiver for people at the sales as a kid. π There was alot of trotters/pacers back in the day!
He's a sweet boy π
(Also I'm pretty sure I didn't whisper canter to him while walking π»π)
Joey π¦
I feel like a proud mum on their kids first day of school today βΊοΈπ
So joey has been known not to hack alone. (To be really naughty and buck/spin/ want to go back home to his friends)
Today we went solo. He went, he was nervous at first snorting leaving the yard but he didn't say no. He slowed down abit half way down the track and as you can see he's looking, tense, and trying to slow time to see if I'm after him...
He did need alot of reassurance for this bit but once on the roads at the bottom he was chilled and actually really enjoyed himself π
His owner asked If I was back safe in one piece so he must have displayed some good tricks in the past π hopefully Joey's turned a corner and now he's in a lot more work actually realising it's fun! ππ»
I think he's ace! π
Had some really good rides on spice this past couple of weeks! πͺπ»
She seems to have taken the laid back approach to life lately which I'm definitely not complaining about π
She's not really sharp at all anymore, not like she used to be. Sometimes if she's that way out she will be but not like crazy reactions to things.
She also had a make over on Tuesday and I took her mane up by half of what it was ππΌββοΈ
Ask me 4 years ago to video off spice while cantering or do a sky dive I think id of opted for the sky dive been safer π
You can't help but like the fiery red head π§‘
Lady π
I'm actually super proud of her π her owner bought her from the field. She came and was very very large.
She's a proper stamp of cob possibly some french draught type with how wide her chest is.
Her owner did a great job at managing her food intake and she also went through the vets for an issue with her leg.
That's when the work begun! Getting lady back into work from box rest she was abit of a ticking bomb but she loved going out on her rides. Ive rode her 3 times a week and the results are definitely showing in her fitness now!
She really struggled to go round the school. She would walk with her head facing the wall with no bend and her neck solid. She couldn't maintain a trot and if you got any kind of contact she would just pull down and pull the reins out of your hand. She found it so difficult bless her!
Now 3/4 months on and look at her go!
I'm so proud of her! She still finds the school work harder fitness wise but she tries her best! Her owner has worked so hard at managing everything to get her to this point and has a couple of weekly lessons too on her.
Every little helps no matter how much work you give them, anything is better than nothing at all and most importantly what you do do is enjoyable and achieving goals πͺπ»π
Couldn't keep up with Penny yesterday π€£ she certainly knows her job now! I was almost jogging π€£ the fastest 45 min speed walk of my life π€£ππͺπ»
How I wish they all was in traffic ππ
Just another set of clippers to add to my collection! βοΈπ΄π
