✨ Monday 8th September – A Special Evening with Dancing Through Life ✨

We are delighted to be welcoming two special guests to our meeting on Monday 8th September, 7.30pm at All Saints’ Church, Ockbrook.

Local Business owner Jackie Nicholas Principal of Dynamicmotif Dance & Performing Arts Academy (fondly known as Miss Jackie), and Lucy Sticka, trustee of the Derby-based charity Every Cloud 🌥️

Together, Jackie and Lucy will be collaborating to bring us an uplifting evening with the theme “Dancing Through Life”.

Lucy will be sharing the important work that Every Cloud does to support men and women in Derby who are living with breast cancer, and ways in which we, as a community, can help make a difference.

Jackie will share her own story of how Dynamicmotif was founded, and she will be guiding us through a short, gentle and inspiring practical session – giving everyone the chance to experience the joy of dance.

This promises to be a truly heart-warming evening, filled with positivity, movement and community spirit. 💃🖤

We look forward to seeing you there!

When Annie’s husband John dies of leukaemia, she and best friend Chris resolve to raise money for a new settee in the local hospital waiting room. Blasting away all preconceptions of what it is to be in the Women’s Institute, they manage to persuade a group of ordinary women in a small Yorkshire town WI to do an extraordinary thing and to make an artistic n**e calendar to raise money for charity.

The news of the women’s charitable venture spreads like wildfire, and hordes of press soon descend on the small village of Knapeley in the Yorkshire Dales.
