🙃Fun Fact Friday🙃

Did you know how beneficial chicken feet are for dogs? 🐔

Chicken feet can be enjoyed in a few different forms to suit you and your dog! 😋

🐓Dehydrated
These are cleaned, dehydrated in a dehydrator and are packed before you buy. They have a long shelf life of over six months.

🐓Puffed
They are similar to dehydrated chicken feet however these are air-dried meaning they retain more vitamins and nutrients.

🐓Raw
These come fresh straight from the source and will be either fresh or frozen, so you will have to clean thoroughly beforehand.

Only dehydrated, raw and puffed chicken feet are suitable for dogs, cooked chicken bones or any cooked bones can be dangerous for your furry friends because when chewed the bones can splinter and cause internal damage ⚠️

Pretty girl Lola!

Lola is a beautiful 3yr old Labrador who came to us through no fault of her own, she’s a really nice girl who, typical of labs, loves everybody… and snacks!

Shes a fun loving lady - she enjoys getting out and about on her walks, but particularly enjoys her time off lead, playing with her toys! She can be strong to walk. She will need someone with lots of time to get her the exercise she needs, but also devote to further training.

Lola is good with most other dogs, and could possibly share her home with another dog depending on a meeting. She’s not used to cats.
She could go to a family home, with children over 5yrs… as long as they’re confident and comfortable around dogs - she can be boisterous!

Last of the newbies is Benson!

Benson is a very handsome 18month old Cockerpoo who came to us as his older owners couldn’t cope with him, or meet his needs. He was rehomed to them privately a couple of months ago, but they quickly realised he needed more…

He’s a typical young dog! Very bouncy, lively and full of fun!! He loves his walks, and enjoys racing around in our exercise paddocks with his toys… however recall is hit and miss, and catching him can turn into a bit of a game!! In fact, he needs more training all round, and we hope that his new owners will have the time to dedicate to him.

He absolutely loves everybody and greets every person with a big wagging tail and wiggly bottom! He would be fine in a home with children (over 5yrs) although he is on the larger end of the ‘cockerpoo scale’ and can be boisterous.

Benson can bark at other dogs, but he is sociable and just wants to say hi! He has mixed with other dogs, and we think he could share his home - depending on a dog meeting. He chases cats.

Due to his breed, Benson will require regular grooming and potentially trips to the groomers every 6-8 weeks, so bear this extra cost in mind.

Had the enormous pleasure of meeting Apollo this afternoon. Apollo is a rescue dog looking for his forever home through no fault of his own purely a change in circumstances for his previous owners. He’s a beautiful white German shepherd, 7.5 years old, well trained and knows his basic commands and I’ve fallen totally in love with him 🥰🥰. Oreo 🖤🤍

Oreo is a handsome 2yr old Boston terrier who came to us for rehoming originally a few months ago, due to him not liking the children in the home… he can also be a little shy around new people initially.

We quickly rehomed him, but sadly it didn’t work out after a few weeks as his behaviour around the other dog (female) in the home was deteriorating… and he was seeming to bully her and make her miserable.

We now feel that Oreo would be better as the only dog in the home - he is sociable with dogs when he’s out, but we think that he prefers all of the attention on him when he’s at home… regular play dates to keep him sociable would be ideal.

Oreo will need to be in an adult only home due to his dislike for children… we’re not sure where this comes from as he’s always been with children - but maybe he’s built up bad associations…

He’s a typical Boston! Very lively and full of energy! He loves to get out and about on his walks… and have a good race around with his toys! He can still be nippy/mouthy when he’s excited..

During his stay in a home, his adopters reported him to have some separation anxiety… so he would need a home where he wouldn’t be left for long periods- work would need to be put into him and getting him comfortable with time alone. He would benefit from further training all round.

He’s never lived with cats.

Sometimes we deal with awful cases of neglect, abuse and the most traumatic situations.

And every so often, we get a genuine case of rehoming that is just as hard for the owner and animal, as it is us.

Cue Tyson, this ADORABLE 18 month old Labrador.

He has come from the most loving home, with an experienced family who have loved the bones off him all his life.
Sadly, both his mum and dad have recently been diagnosed with terminal cancer.

A heartbreaking decision, that they never intended to make…
but they are doing what is best for their dog, knowing their tough road ahead- despite it breaking their hearts to let him go.

He is a gorgeous boy, full of energy just as a pup should.
He’s a big strong boy but equally just a big daft goofball.

We are rather smitten 🥰

Was in the pub the other day when I saw a lovely little toy poodle that looked ready for a groom. I got speaking with the owner who told me that she had been groomed only the day before by pets at home. I asked her how much it cost and was told £52 including nails. Not only am I cheaper than this, but your pet is cared for one on one and will experience a much calmer and happier environment with an experienced groomer who puts your pets needs above just running a business.

Please support your local groomers as we are 9 times out of 10 much cheaper and give a far better service. And the money you pay stays within your own community rather than lining pockets of shareholders and people who don't care for your important family members
