We are so sorry to announce that we are having to cancel our fabulous dog show at the Family Field Day on Saturday.

With high temperatures forecast, we’re sure we'd all agree that dogs should not be outside with no cover and that it's in our four legged friends best interests not to be out and about at the height of the heat.

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank Kate Borley for all her hard work in organising the event, and Kate is in full agreement with our decision.

Don't forget there will be plenty of other festivities going on from 12pm at the Parish Memorial Gardens so we will see you all there!

I'm so sad to hear my fellow groomers are closing. I would like to take this opportunity to wish Tina and all the staff at Stans pals all the best.
I have known Tina for a couple of years now and she is the loveliest lady and nothing is to much trouble.

Dear Customers
I would like to thank you for allowing us to share the lives of your dogs and for trusting us with their grooming needs and for visiting our shop over the years. As you may know I have had some issues over the last year with health and family and this has meant I have not been able to focus on the business to the extent I did in the past and I have now sadly come to the conclusion I need to reduce work and this means our grooming services and our pet shop will cease trading today I have loved working with so many animal lovers in Swad and will miss you all. Good luck in the future.
Our shop will be open limited hours to allow sell through of some of our stock. Look out on our page for when this will happen.
If you are a VIP client we would like to say a very heart felt thank you for supporting us so fully and we need to remind you to cancel your standing order as soon as you can, we may not be able to refund amounts paid in error as we may not have control of our bank account by then.
Stan’s Pet Services will continue to trade run by Ellie, so our dog walking and pet visiting services will remain unaffected. For info on these services please message this page.

The week has arrived for Callum, Joe and Jordan to do their walk for miles of smiles. The lads will be visiting many football stadiums on their walk. We are all behind the lads and wish them the best of luck.

Milo and minnie have supported the lads by buying a Teddy out of their pocket money. These cute bears are on sale at borleys builders merchants, £6 each or 2 for £10.

Come on lads we are behind you to cheer you on.

Good morning all I hope everyone is well and enjoying the sunshine 🌞 and being safe.
Due to tomorrow's and Tuesdays weather I will be closing at 12 😔 I have to think of the safety of your babies and myself.
Heat stroke is a very serious condition for your babies. Please make sure they are NOT walked in this heat no dog has ever died from not being walked, plenty of fresh water, paddling pools and lots of shade.

Please bare with me and thankyou for your understanding. I will be contacting any one who has an afternoon appointment to rearrange for this week when it's cooler.

Mark ‘Pip’ Fordham

As many of you that live locally now know, it’s with a very heavy heart and the deepest of sorrow that I pay tribute to our dear friend and colleague Mark Fordham, who tragically passed away earlier this week. I am utterly devastated.

Mark joined us at Borley’s earlier this year as a mixer driver, following in his Dad’s footsteps (Pip senior was a mixer driver for us some years ago). Pip, as we called him, immediately fit like a glove and quickly became a massive asset to us. His work ethic was incredible, his attitude towards going above and beyond to consistently do a good job was daily. Everyone here and all of his customers got on so well with Pip - it’s often been said that just one conversation with him and you felt like you’d known him for years, he was so friendly and approachable.

We always knew when Pip was leaving the yard on a delivery, he’d drive by our shop in his mixer with a big toot of his horn, a huge smile and a thumbs up out of his window. This was typical of Pip’s infectious manner and he’ll be sorely missed by us all.

I have spoken with Mark’s family personally and want to repeat my sincerest condolences to them all. We’re all absolutely gutted at Borley’s and heartbroken for such a lovely family.

With all my heart Pip, may you rest in peace.

💥 OPENING 21ST FEB💥

YIPEEEEE 🥳🥳🥳🥳 I'm so so happy to announce that I'm opening again next week and I cannot wait to see all my happy fur babies 🐶 and their parents.

My hours have changed slightly due to personal reasons.
My new opening hours are 9.30 till 2.30 (last appointment being 2pm depending on the syle and treatment required)
I will not be opening up on a Saturday for a few months yet but when I do I will announce it.

I want to thank everyone for being so patient and understanding. ❤❤❤❤

Hi all
Sorry I've been a little quiet on here just to let you all know I'm still about 🤣 I have been poorly with with sinus infection, a chest infection and then I got covid 🦠. All better now and back to work.
I just want to say thankyou to all of my customers for being patient with me while I got better.

I thought I would also take this opportunity to introduce the new vehicle to the company, this is my moo. Absolutley in love with her.

A massive shout out and thankyou to Rob Lewis signs for stickering her up and making her look gorgeous. An absolutely amazing Job.

I have a lot of messages regarding washes 🚿for dogs, I'm afraid I won't be doing just washes as the government has stated that it's for dog welfare grooms only. A dog welfare groom is keeping on top of matted fur or dealing with matted fur, ears and claws. SORRY guys boris has said ....
If you have an appointment with me through January for a wash then I'm afraid I will be contacting you after lockdown to arrange another appointment if you don't already have one. Stay safe

Good evening all hope you are all well.
After tonight's announcement (that I am sure you have all seen) i have been looking on the government website and I can remain open for the welfare of animals. Animal welfare grooming is:
➡️ clipping, this is essential to reduce matting and pain to your animal
➡️ claw clipping

Please read my rules for dropping off your dog🐕‍🦺🧍‍♀️🧍as we all want to stay safe:

⛔ please wait behind the barrier when dropping your dog off

⛔I will not be allowing ANYONE into my parlour due to the risks

⛔please wear a face covering when I come out to greet you

⛔ I will be antibac wiping your dogs lead and collar to reduce the risk

⛔ Hand sanitising will be kept up same as before

⛔ only your dog/dogs to be on site

⛔everything is sanitised between my customers

⛔ I will be wearing a face covering at all times even while I'm with your dog.

⛔Payment can be card, bank Transfer or cash (in an envelope or clear bag)

This is a very trying times for every business and its scary times.
Please bare with me and as soon as things go back to normal (if normal is a word now a days) i will be back in touch to book your dog an appointment for their usual treatments.

All of my January and February customers I will be in touch with next week to discuss your appointments when I'm back in work.

🎅Merry chriatmas and a Happy New year 🍾🥂

Well what a strange year it has been, I think you will all agree 😁 I would like to thank all of my lovely customers and their beautiful fur babies 🐕 for all their support through this weird time and their understanding of the guidelines that had to be followed due to this virus.

Since the second Lockdown My daughter Paige came on board to help out with the rush and continued to help me through the busy month leading up to the Christmas break. Thankyou to everyone who sent us a Christmas gift and cards it was very thoughtful and lovely.

I cannot express how grateful i am for everyone's support and how thankful I am.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a very Happy New year. Let's hope 2021 is better than 2020 has been. 🍾🥂
