Vets still prescribe gabapentin for dogs to treat pain ... but it doesn't make the pain better and can cause some serious side effects ...

Dry V raw fed dogs:

Staffies were fed high carb kibble 4.5mths. They had significantly higher blood tryglycerides (blood fat, remember it's driven by carb consumption NOT fat) and cholesterol.

What's that mean in terms of disease? Not sure, but nothing good when looking at human data.
Carbohydrates are the issue for all animals and humans.

For now, this another reminder that you cannot feed high carb kibble to a dog with pancreatitis.

What is this?
This is a herbal supplement for Arthritis. Our boy has been limping on and off for a while now. I give him arnica for pain and this supplement I made which has burdock, ginger and devil claws.
He is no longer limping back to normal.
Herbs have many different uses and that's what is great, we have many different options for every health issue.

Myths on raw feeding.
1)Puppy raw has more nutrients.
FALSE.
There is no difference in raw puppy to raw adult food.
2)Puppies need more calcium for bones.
FALSE.
Puppies get feed more at a higher % to get all the calcium they need.
3)Cats have a different raw food than dogs.
FALSE.
Cats can eat the same food as dogs, you just need to look for taurine or add it in.
4)You have to wait untill your pet is over 1yr old to feed raw.
FALSE
Puppies and kittens can both be weaned onto raw.
5) My Pet has a health condition and cannot have raw food.
FALSE
Depending on the condition, raw can actually improve such conditions such as diabetes, DCM, arthritis, obesity.
6) I cannot handle raw meat because I have an autoimmune disease.
FALSE.
You take the exact hygiene precautions as you would handle your own raw meat.
7) If i feed my pet raw It will make them want to kill my pet chickens or rabbits.

What's in the bowl?
I feed my dogs twice a day, I always give bone in the morning along with offal and a little meat, the evening meal is just boneless meat.
I give bone in the morning so it has time to digest, making the most of the digestive juices called chime.

Variety is key. Fat is needed for energy and every dog is different with the amounts that right for them. Too much fat can cause diarrhea.

Whilst out for a walk this morning I saw SO many natural herbs.
Cleavers -sticky w**d.
Broad leaf plantain and thin leaf plantain, both usable.
Horsetail.
