We have very limited day care availability in the run up to Christmas 🎄

Whilst this won’t replace urgent vet care when needed, having an overview of basic dog first aid is another string to the bow.

3 hours well spent this morning with a brief overview of:

🐾 Dog CPR and resuscitation.
🐾 Drowning, poisoning, snake bites and stings.
🐾 Bandaging, bleeding, shock and burns.
🐾 Stomach conditions, choking and heat stroke.

Another reason to get in touch for any home boarding requests.

With bonfire night approaching I’m making up treat bags ready to help distract some lovely doggies 🐶

Bonfire night can be very unsettling for many dogs 😢 here are our top tips-

Try to make them a cosy corner with their blankets/bedding where they can ‘hide’ if they want to.

Keep all windows and doors shut and try turning on some soothing background music like Classic FM’s Pet Classics.

Tire them out with a big walk earlier in the day.

If they enjoy toys or treats have these on hand. A long lasting chew can provide them with a productive way to relieve stress

It’s been a great week in the Lakes, house sitting looking after Maximus and Boot.

An absolute pleasure with plenty of miles covered up Catbells, Aira Falls and Hadrians Wall.
