And so it begins. 😁 A new chapter in poultry keeping returning back to the hobby after 8 years out. Still finishing off the last few cages but I've got the stock cage all built ready for growing on ducklings. 😁 Muscovey meat bird is currently in there until it matures.

Serama's. 😁 Great little birds. Realy enjoying keeping them. They are laying well now.

Quick peck at the grass while I fill feeders. They are looking quite good now they have matured and started laying. Can't decide if I use the wheaten cockeral or not as he's big compared to the rest and I have option to get better shaped smaller birds soon.

Couple of my new large chickens then theres two black ones all mixed colour eggers. Olive, blue and brown eggers. 😁 👍🏻 Il keep two. If the white is a hen il keep that and one black one then rehome the cockeral and the other black one. As I feel my new cage can only house four hens not six looking at how big my two oldest hens are now. I think four would be enough for getting eating eggs for three people each week.

Donald has his new wife finaly after 7 years wait after I was forced to take my birds home and lost most to the badger. Now I've rebuilt my setups and bought in some great new birds to restart in the hobby. I'm so happy again. 😁

One early hatchling in another incy and the main batch of eggs are finaly starting to hatch. Hope I get more than a few lol as I put 70+ in there and nearly all are alive still in egg it seems when I checked other day when auto turn went off.

Decided il pair donald to the unrelated female and one of her daughters next year and then maybe rehome the drake i used this year that's one of the original birds from years ago. Or I rehome the female if I get a better one.
