We have one DIY stabled livery space remaining on our small BHS Approved yard. Catering for 8-10 horses this quiet yard which has great facilities is situated on the outskirts of Dingwall. We have a 32x 52 metre flood lit arena to keep you riding through the winter, good paddocks,a purpose built stable block with a secure tackroom and feedroom and plenty of storage for rugs etc.
We have just had our annual hose down so everything is power washed, disinfected, re-painted and winter ready.

Well the hardest bits are done! Each board sanded and oiled. Took a bit of time but the end result is always worth it!
Big thanks to our wonderful livery clients for clearing their things out and doing the preparatory work and to Thomasin Campbell for all the help this week. It's just the mats to power wash and disinfect tomorrow and we will be done!

Day one of the main event! The hose down is in full swing. The stables have been emptied, the tack and feed rooms cleared so after a thorough sweep and blow out with the leaf blower, power washing has begun. This is followed by disinfecting the yard and after a few days of drying, painting and oiling begins.
Come the winter the horses will be coming into fresh clean stables and our clients will enjoy the winter routines better in a nice bright clean environment.

As we gear up for our annual hose down of the main yard we are looking ahead and seeking to fill our remaining DIY stabled livery space.
Our small privately owned DIY Livery Yard is situated on the outskirts of Dingwall and what we lack in size ( we only cater for 8-10 horses) we make up for in facilities!
We have for you to enjoy a 32 x 52 meter flood lit arena, a comprehensive set of Jump4Joy jumps,
a purpose built yard with lockable tack and feedroom, ample storage, adjoining hay shed and ample grazing for turn out throughout the year.

That's stage 1 of the hose down complete with the hay shed blitzed from top to bottom. It's positively gleaming and looking immaculate which is more than can be said for me just now!
We are to ready to bring this years hay and bedding into the shed over the coming weeks and months.

And so it begins! Hose down stage 1!
Today sees us clear out the hay shed for a sweep out, blow down with the leaf blower, power hosing it from top to bottom before disinfecting the shed prior to the new seasons hay being brought in together with bedding to get us through the coming winter.
What's left in the shed has been bagged and palleted up and removed to let us get going.
This years hay was made in great conditions and is undercover ready to be brought into the shed when the hose down is complete.
Once done we have a few weeks respite before we get wired into the main stable block where we repeat the whole process plus paint the walls and oil the boarding so it's all fresh for the 🐴🐴🐴🐴 coming in over winter.

Unfortunately we are going to cancel the scheduled Jump & Go. July is proving to be a tricky month to fill what with the summer holidays and other things going on for folk.
We will schedule another when uptake is sufficient to run.

☀️☀️☀️With the summer holidays just about to start are you looking for something to do?☀️☀️☀️
July's Jump & Go's course will be arena eventing in style. Colin Hexley will put together a course of jumps from our terrific selection of Jump 4 Joy equipment. The professionally built course will consist of a mixture of show jumping and working hunter/cross country style fences and it will be fully dressed to emulate competition like conditions.🌲🦆🐰🦊🌲
Our Jump & Go courses provide a great training opportunity for horses and riders a like, a chance to prepare for competition and to further a young horses education in the safety of an arena.
It offers a great resource for local riders to train over a pre built course and for local instructors to utilise to train their clients in a clinic type setting.
Bookings are being taken.
The course will be available to hire between the 19th and the 25th of July if there is sufficient demand.

We have another Jump & Go date for your diary! An arena eventing style course will be built by Colin Hexley on the 18th of July and will be available to hire for up to a week if demand is there. Bookings being taken now! Individuals, small groups and instructors are welcome!

The sun is going down on the second day of Jump & Go! Your feedback has been great and Colin's course is riding really well.
Thank you for attending.
That's the arena levelled and ready for tomorrow's clients.
There is availability on Saturday afternoon after 3pm and into the evening and on Sunday between 12 and 2pm and after 3pm. Monday morning and afternoon is also available so plenty of opportunities to Jump & Go!

Finally! After a prolonged wet spell things seem to be improving and seasonal work on the farm is well underway. The horses on the yard have moved onto their summer grazing and their winter grazing will now be rested but it's looking in remarkably good condition despite months of wet weather. Let's hope that the weather remains settled and the sun shines a bit more often !

Thank you everyone for attending our first Jump & Go of 2024. We really appreciate it and it was great to see so many of you,;it makes the course build worth while. The weather conditions went from the sublime to the ridiculous over the last few days and we thank those of you who wrapped up and endured the wind and rain! You are a hardy bunch
The course is cleared and the arena levelled and it is available for hire in between the course builds. The next Jump & Go will be built on the 15th of May and will be available for up to a week if the demand is there. We look forward to seeing what Colin Hexley has planned for us then and to lighter nights and hopefully warmer, drier weather! I am taking bookings now so please pm me if you are interested in a slot.
