Dot enters the kitchen each and every day with the demand of grated cheese ๐ง If I don't notice her quick enough she does a cheese grunt ๐คฃ
She's an absolute diva, but the heart wants what it wants! ๐

R Dot.. Wants to create the kids but not look after them ๐๐ญ๐คฃ
Sounds like a Jeremy Kyle job to me...
Last feed of the day for the little piges/dove.. ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ One is a bit of a gannet and wants to be fed constantly...Baby woodies would eat until they explode ๐

Love how little dove likes to snuggle under his adopted siblings!
Young collared dropped off last night ๐๐
Two of my chickens enjoying some grated cheese yesterday ๐คฃ
It seems like r Dot found herself in very deep water yesterday as my neighbour saw a sparrowhawk grab her, and then as another sparrowhawk came onto the scene to try and grab her and luckily she ended up getting away mid fight! Yikes. She's got feathers missing today but seems pretty gooooood considering.
I absolutely adore this very unusual woodie so let's hope she stays safe ๐ค๐ค

Oh I just love baby pigeons โบ๏ธ
I picked this young feral up from my friend in Retford earlier. He walked straight over to her and just let her pick him up.. even with her dogs there. Clearly asking for help ๐
He is absolute skin and bone poor thing. He's been fed, and is nice and cosy. I think he's got a baterial infection going on.
Pigeons are honestly my favourite birds, because they are very trusting of us.
Makes me sad they get so much stick ๐ข
Look at this one perching high, and using her leg! ๐๐ฅฐ
Oh Dot! I do love you ๐

Yesterday one of my lovely hens Aggy literally just lost her legs.. She could barely stand, and when she tried to walk she would just basically loose her footing angry fall forward. Luckily I've seen this before with another hen, and a good friend who's a pigeon fancier told me it was a calcium/Vit D issue.
So the purpose of this is just incase any one who keeps hens comes across this..If your hen suddenly looses their ability to walk or move around properly, but otherwise seems healthy it's likely that they're suffering a temporary deficiency and you need to load them up with liquid cal/vit d.
Aggy is now back to doing her funny run around the garden... but just yesterday morning she could barely walk!
How cute is her sister Maggie squaking from the garden and our old dog sky strutting past without a glance as she's so used to a lot of birds. Sky and the hens are so comfortable with each other, and when I put a Aggy on a little bed on top of Sky's bed, they both just curled up and went to sleep next to each other ๐ญ๐ฅฐ๐๐
