We are Super proud of all our learners !

They put 110% into every task they are given & they are already competent with day to day management tasks on the yard . They are kind , helpful and willing and supportive of one another and will be an asset to any Team 💫

This month they have been working on grooming & washing horses and ponies under direction and already able to do this to a high standard!

5. If you could switch places with any famous rider for a day, who would it be? John Whittaker
6. If you could ride any horse from history or fiction, who would it be and why? Secretariat because he’s fast

1. How long have you been at the Orchard Equine College? Since September

2. What do you like most about studying here? Because I love being on the yard

3. Who is your favourite horse on the yard and why? I’ve got 2 – Koko and Ruben. Koko because he can jump and he can be spicy and Ruben because he is my pony and can be cheeky.

4. If you could ride any famous horse from history or movies, who would it be and why? London 52 because he can jump massive!

5. What’s the most unique or funny thing you’ve learned about horses that surprised you? That they have 10 muscles to control their ears

6. If you could name a horse, what would you call it, and what would its personality be like? Dave and he would be really mischievous but not dangerous and we would win Badminton Horse Trials

2. What got you into horses? I was 4 and I liked ponies lol
3. What’s the best thing about being an instructor that keeps you coming back for more? I love seeing the riders progress and really enjoy helping the riders engage with their horses

5. What’s the most unique or funny thing you’ve learned about horses that surprised you? That they don’t just have teeth at the front!

6. If you could name a horse, what would you call it, and what would its personality be like? Bluebell – affectionate and loving

We have been super busy arranging this and we have been asked if we will be doing home ed sessions for primary school age .

Our students have done a super job in their first term and were very proud of your dedication and hard work .

Part of their learning involves working together as a team relying on each other’s strengths to achieve a common goal. The lessons they are learning with the horses are listening, communicating, and respecting each other’s contributions . In return this is building a stronger, more cohesive team in the workplace.

Everyone’s input is valuable, and success comes from understanding how to work together harmoniously.

Our students task this month was to help us plan a Free fun day for the riding school that is going ahead on Monday. They have come up with amazing ideas with pony rides , The Grinch , Fancy dress and even managed to make a Santas Grotto today🎅🏼
