We had a little play at Mounted Games today with some of our Students & had such a laugh!

We Would just like to say we’re not even half way into our first year but we’re super proud of all your achievements so far . Not only do we have an amazing bunch of kids who work hard and get stuck in . We have a bunch of kids who lift each other up , support and help eachother and every single one of them will be an asset to any yard , College or team in the future whatever career path they choose .

Equine biosecurity is an essential subject for all of our students interested in the health and management of horses. This field encompasses practices that help prevent the introduction and spread of infectious diseases among horses. Our Students have been and are continuing to learn about various strategies, such as quarantine protocols, vaccination schedules, and hygiene best practices, which are crucial for maintaining equine health and welfare.

Additionally, they explore the significance of monitoring horse health, understanding disease transmission methods, and recognizing early signs of illness. By mastering these concepts, students play a pivotal role in protecting equine populations, ensuring the safety of the equestrian industry, and promoting overall animal welfare.

Our Biosecurity topic this week was Travelling Horses . Thanks to Orchard Equine Transport for allowing our students to practice their best practices.

Some of our college students assisted Paige today using the Theraplate & learning about the benefits of the theraplate in general and how it can aid horses under going various rehabilitation programmes.

Some of our students gave the horses the best pamper today with a good grooming session. They did a great job & Not only did they look fabulous & relaxed , they now feel it too. 🐎 🤩

Grooming Daily Helps to increase blood flow to the skin’s surface, massages large muscle groups, and is a useful time to assess the horse’s physical health & fill in the health check charts 📊

*******Position filled ******Part -Time , Stable Yard Assistant Required 💫

We are looking for someone to join our Team, to help us look after my personal horses , Riding school / College Horses & liveries.

The Hours are 8.00am -1pm Thursdays & Fridays .Potential for added extra day/s to try help cover sick/holidays as they arise with other members of the team .

The Ideal person must have previous yard experience and the daily handling of a full range of different horses with all the necessary duties involved in caring for them to high standards including Mucking out, Grooming, lunging , turnout and put onto the horse walker daily .

This is a permanent position with long standing liveries and others members of our team.

We have added options for the right person to study and gain Qualifications up to Level 3 & Coaching Qualifications.
