Finally seeing the warmer weather! Extra precaution needed for our little bunnies as this is deadly!

Most rabbits will have seasonal shedding (also called molting). They shed their coat as a way to adjust to warmer and cooler temperatures. This results in rabbits growing a nice, thick fur coat to keep warm in the winter, and then shedding it for a thinner coat in the summer. It means the rabbit can regulate their body temperature to keep from developing hypothermia or heatstroke! Not all fur loss is the result of a shedding rabbit. Sometimes it can be the result of a much bigger health concern. Here is Bertie enjoying a brush with his nice shiny coat ready for summer if it ever arrives!

Strawberries are nice treat however they are high in sugar so just the one for my bunnies! A little taste for baby Nancy she loved it.Bertie stills turns his nose up at them 🤦‍♀️🍓

GI-STASIS: A common cause is a diet that's too high in carbohydrates from pellets and vegetables, and too low in fibre from hay, as without enough fibre a rabbit's digestive mobility decreases. Dehydration can also cause GI stasis, as dry material creates an impaction within a rabbit's intestines.85% of rabbit diet is hay/grass 10% is leafy greens/veg and 5% pellets

Ronnie enjoying his groom by his human brother! He’s so chilled! We use small soft brush at the moment while he still has his baby fur then I will change over to slicker once his coat changes to adult!
