There seems to be a few businesses pop up where people haven’t taken the appropriate training.
I will support anyone wanting to train as a dog groomer but it has to be done the right way not only for the groomers safety but most importantly your dogs! I must get at least 5 messages a week asking what’s the best route to go down for training my answer is always this…
Unfortunately Kingston Maurward no longer offer training so KD Design or Sparsholt College would be your closest yes it costs and you have to be dedicated in the time it takes but your training to work with live animals you must have the correct training and be safe!
Do not be afraid to ask to see your groomer’s qualifications and ask them questions.
Although Dog Grooming is not regulated so these people are not technically doing anything wrong I feel that an online course really does not give you appropriate experience.
Remember appointments are limited so please pre-book as soon as possible currently needing 3/4 weeks notice 🐶
