This isn't a post that we wanted to write so early on into 2025, but we have to mention the dreaded word CHRISTMAS ☃️

Unfortunately, Christmas is coming, and we only have a few kennels and cat pens left leading up to and over the Christmas and New Year period.

We advise all our customers to book in as soon as you have your dates to avoid disappointment.

We had the absolute pleasure of celebrating this young man's 7th birthday with him! 🥳
We had extra cuddles, a lovely walk and playtime with his sister, and of course a yummy treat 😋
There was too much fun to be had to have perfect pictures taken, but he is still very handsome 😍

We have been having extra fun in the runs having a good play, along with enjoying our lovely walks (unfortunately, we did have some rain, but that doesn't stop us)!

He is such a character, and he always brings a smile to our faces. He is super outgoing and definitely keeps us on our toes as the phone was just too much fun to sit still for photos 😄

THE WARMER WEATHER IS ALMOST HERE!

Let's talk about hoses. We've all let our dogs play with the hose and have fun catching the water, but did you know that hose water can be harmful to dogs.

In small doses, a few drops of water aren't considered harmful. Large quantities, hose temperature, and condition of the water in the hose are what contribute to ill or hospitalised dogs.

It can cause multiple issues but the main one is water intoxication (which happens when the dog drinks too much water in a short amount of time).

If you think your dog may be suffering from water toxicity, watch out for signs:
Loss of coordination
Glazed eyes
Lethargic
Coughing
Gagging
Loss of appetite
Seizures.

If you notice any of these symptoms, call your vet immediately.

Always offer your dog fresh water, other alternatives to keep your dogs cool are, a small paddling pool, or even a wet towel to lay on.

Our outside runs are cleaned down between each dog to ensure the floor is cool for their paws. They also have a paddling pool to splash around in, as well as a shaded area with fresh water available.

Our on site groomer has very limited spaces spaces left over the upcoming months.

If you would like your pups to have a bath wash and dry or even a full pamper whilst they are staying with us, please either pop us or Paula a message to avoid disappointment.

She is offering £5 off ALL treatments for dogs who are boarding at the time of groom.

🐶🐱🐰🐾 HAPPY NATIONAL PET DAY! 🐾🐰🐱🐶

We all love to celebrate our lovely fur babies every day, but April 11th is to honour and appreciate all the pets that enrich our lives ❤️

National Pet Day was created in 2006 by Colleen Paige, with the intention of not only appreciating personal pets, but also considering what can be done to help abandoned or at risk pets (such as animals in shelters).

As some of you are aware, we work closely with the dog team at Tag Pet Rescue to help find their amazing dogs homes

Please help us by sharing this post to spead these beautiful faces of the dogs from far and wide to help them find their furever sofas.

Skin Allergies!

We have a lot of animals in our care who have skin allergies or allergic dermatitis.
Some unfortunately suffer all year round, where others are only itchy at certain times of the year, similar to us with hay-fever.

Please let us know if you pet suffers from any allergies, as we are able to prepare feed separately and safely, administer any medication they may need, we can also tailor their daily walks to times when pollen counts are lowest! We will wipe their paws, legs, and belly with a damp towel when they return to help prevent pollen and other irritants from being taken back into their kennel.
