We offer a loving service using years of experience around animals to ensure your pet is fulfilled and happy whilst you are away from home. We offer dog walking, a dog wash & dry service (no full grooming or cutting/clipping) pet sitting in your home, Pet Taxi service (to/from the vets), doggy daycare/pet sitting at our home, puppy development, one to one dog training (obedience and behaviour issu

es), caring for small animals/birds/fish and cat/dog grooming, health and nutrition advice/education (including looking at their dog food, explaining why the not so good ingredients can be bad from them and suggestions on what to feed). Your pets welfare and balanced state of mind are our priorities. We treat your pets as we would like our own to be treated. We come to you for a free initial consultation to discuss your requirements, see if the dog warms to us and then go from there filling in some forms. Second step is going for a walk (if its a dog not a cat!), then back to ours to see how they feel in our environment if they are to come to us for the day etc. Our Pet Sitting services are all tailored to you needs. We also offer a house work / spring cleaning service as a one off whilst you're away or ongoing when you need us. Dogs can be road walked, walked alone or with other dogs (we are insured to pack walk 6 dogs at a time), woods/countryside or beach walked, played with, trained or socialised with other dogs/people...whatever suits your needs. On return they will be settled, fed and watered as required. We also have a drop in service for older dogs, poorly dogs or dogs recovering from an operations where walking is too much for them. We also drop in for puppies who haven't had their inoculation jabs as yet so can't go out into the big world as yet and puppies who need more than one visit per day! In this event we offer anything from 15 mins to 1 hour...garden/indoor play, cuddles, a short walk if required and general companionship, again this is tailored to your dogs needs. We work all hours so can leave your pet for as long as you like and we can collect & walk as many times per day as they need, including an evening walk if they are staying with us. All Pet Sitters/Carers and Dog Walkers are CRB checked and fully insured – these are available on request as are references from existing clients. We understand how important your pets are to you so we strive to achieve the same standard we would expect from someone looking after our pets. We prefer to look after cats in their own home as it is less disruption for them. They are unsettled enough humans going away so at least they are secure in their own home, with their own beds/bowls and can do their regular walks to keep them as calm and balanced as possible ready for their owners return. Whatever your pet needs from feeding to brushing, playing to walking and cleaning out cages/litter trays to cuddling....we will provide it as you specify. If you dog tends to misbehave or is aggressive that is no reason not to call for a quote, We may be able to help calm the behavior quickly and am happy to walk dogs that have these 'quirks of character'. We can tackle behavior problems, including fear aggression and separation anxiety. Pet Taxi is a service we offer to take your pet (if you are at work or you and your pet if you have no transport) to the vets etc. This is handy if your pet needs a booster or check up and you need to work that day. A Vet Release form will be signed & sent to your Vet in advance so they are aware that it will not be you bringing in your pet. Finally Puppy Development is helping your puppy (post vaccination) to be confident with the 'big wide world', socialising him/her with people, dogs and getting him/her use to towns with lots of people, cars on a busy street, travelling in a car, going to vets/being checked over, removing any insecurities/phobias and teaching the basic commands. It is also a service to advise you around the new member of your family if you need it. We take a lot of information about your pet at the consultation This enables us to give the best service possible. There are no contracts to sign just boring forms! If we are walking your dog or looking after your cat on a weekly basis and you decided not to use us again then we ask for a weeks notice (with payment on the first day of that last week). If less than 24 hours notice is given then the full cost of the day/evening will charged to you, if its over 24 hours notice then no cancellation penalty applies. For long term bookings a deposit of 50% will be taken at the time of booking (form filling/getting keys from you). This deposit is non-refundable (in any circumstance). It is taken to secure your space in the diary for the time you need us. The other 50% is given to us just before you go away (we try to pop in again so your cat sees us again before we visit) or on our first visit. Lastly, I'm training up to be a natural health based dog food and treatments advisor. The basic package I do now is a look at what ingredients are in the dog food you use I then will do a report for you on my findings, giving a breakdown of what nasty stuff is in the dog food you feed them, what it does to their bodies and other stuff they can cause. (some allergies are brought on when eating a not so great dog food). If you dog/cat looks ill or is ill then make sure you call the vets, not us first. Also we are starting to offer holistic treatments/options to help you pamper your pooch or to treat health issues naturally! Some holistic treatments are....massage, rekki, aromatherapy, bach flower remedies, crystal healing and there are some really interesting products you can buy to help you continue to help your dog along that same path. These treatments can help with dogs issues such as bad skin, anxiety, overweight etc. Its worked on mine!! Also, if you just want some advice on any aspect of dog behaviour/training etc please feel free to give us a call, ask to speak to Francesca. Unless we need to visit to see your pet then advice is free :)

We also offer Pet Photography. Stuart ,my partner, is a professional photographer. Whilst he''s not helping with the dogs he goes off to do photography shoots of all sort! His main passion is pet photography but he also covers press/newspaper events (like Brighton Gay Pride/Dover Riots/Dover Castle World War 2 event, Steampunk events, Sweeps Festival/Dickens Festival etc), wildlife shots for posters/magazines etc, peoples websites but (I think anyway!) his best work is capturing dogs outside in action as he captures their personality. He is on facebook - Stuart Brock Photography - so feel free to contact him either directly or via our Peekaboo Page. We are also currently working on a website for the photography business....so watch this space! Thank you for looking at our page!

I saw this on a dog related group on facebook & thought there's some good tips.

Mindful of dogs likes/dislikes, age, breed type and underlying health…

Wet fur can help cool dogs: Wetting down a dog with cool water can be a great way to cool them off, especially on hot walks. As the water evaporates, it takes heat away from your dog's body, similar to how sweating cools us humans

Sunburn risk is low: Unlike humans, dogs don't sunburn easily through wet fur. Their fur provides some protection, and the evaporating water helps keep their skin cool.

Trapped heat is a possibility: However, if the water isn't cool and the humidity is high, the wet fur can trap heat instead of promoting evaporation. This could make your dogs hotter!!

Here's how to safely cool down your dogs with water before a walk:

- Use cool water
- Target key areas: Focus on areas with less fur like the belly, paws, and armpits for better heat transfer.
- Let them shake: Give them a good shake to remove excess water.
- Monitor humidity: If it's a very humid day, wetting them down might not be the best option. More on this in a sec.
- Provide shade and water: Always ensure there's plenty of shade and fresh water available during walks.

Humid days….

The effectiveness of this wetting method decreases because high humidity prevents the water from evaporating efficiently, which means it can't cool your dog as effectively. This can potentially lead to trapped heat under their fur. So less of a heat retention issue for almost fur less dogs, but hairy mammals…

On humid days, it's best to take extra precautions:
- Avoid walking your dog during the hottest parts of the day; early morning or late evening walks are cooler.
- Find shaded paths for walking to minimise direct sun exposure.
- Ensure your dogs have access to plenty of fresh drinking water.
- Consider using a cooling vest or mat, which can help pull heat away from your dog's body.
- Watch for signs of overheating, such as excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, or confusion.

Think TAP!

Using cold water from the ‘tap’ (or any convenient source), douse the

Tummy
Armpits/Thighs
Paws

And keep dousing if they’re really over heating.

Overall, wetting down your dogs before a walk in the shade and with access to water is a perfectly safe and effective way to cool them off.

If you're concerned about the temperature or humidity, consult your veterinarian for specific advice.

Ever wonder why lots of breeds that have been running around playing like to go and lie on their bellies in a puddle or shallow stream?

❤️Keanu Reeves support putting animal abusers to sleep. And you?👇

Keanu Reeves is a true dogs lover 🥰
This is Matrix movie star Keanu Reeves. He was abandoned by his father at 3 years old and grew up with 3 different stepfathers. He is dyslexic. His dream of becoming a hockey player was shattered by a serious accident. His daughter died at birth. His wife died in a car accident. His best friend, River Phoenix, died of an overdose. His sister battled leukemia.
No bodyguards, no luxury houses. Keanu lives in an ordinary apartment and likes wandering around town and often seen riding a subway in NYC.
When he was filming the movie "The Lake House," he overheard the conversation of two costume assistants, one crying as he would lose his house if he did not pay $20,000 - On the same day, Keanu deposited the necessary amount in his bank account. In his career, he has donated large sums to hospitals including $75 million of his earnings from “The Matrix” to charities.
In 2010, on his birthday, Keanu walked into a bakery & bought a brioche with a single candle, ate it in front of the bakery, and offered coffee to people who stopped to talk to him.
In 1997 some paparazzi found him walking one morning in the company of a homeless man in Los Angeles, listening to him and sharing his life for a few hours.
In life, sometimes the ones most broken from inside are the ones most willing to help others.
This man could buy everything, and instead every day he gets up and chooses one thing that cannot be bought.
