Mr Quigley (Glenkee Quizmaster) did us proud today at his first affiliated show of the season over at Onley Grounds Equestrian Complex for the Towerlands Silver Status Welsh & Open Show.

A win in the 2/3 yr old class 🥇
Reserve young stock champion 🏆
Reserve miniature champion

He was a super boy today, very pleased with his progress over the last couple of months ❤️

Yesterday we took Glenkee Quizmaster out for a pre season practice to Grey Fern Park Equestrian Centre. After an excitable start in the first class he settled well to gain some good results and feedback from the judge. The classes were varied in breeds and quite sizeable making it a great busy atmosphere for him to learn, really pleased with how much he enjoyed himself and improved as the classes progressed.

Éowyn, Chai and Nellie. Hairy and happy. Just as a Shetland should be! The shedding season is upon us and months of grooming begins, to have 4 weeks of summer coat before they start growing it back again. I do love a hairy Shetland though, so I’m only complaining a little bit about the mass of hair that will be coming off them soon 😅

Lovely morning taking Bwlchclawdd Nellie out for a pre season practice at Fenland Equestrian Centre. A win in the Shetland class and second in the mixed M&M. Clever little fluffy one!

Look what we had at the end of the rainbow this evening... the special one aka Éowyn aka Bibi aka bibble (anyone else have odd nicknames for their ponies? Or just me?). It’s impossible to get a nice photo of this foal, she just wants to be in your face… all the time, so gave her the scoop as a distraction instead. Definitely not normal this one but we love her in spite of that.

We took Mr Quigley (Glenkee Quizmaster) out for a play today at Fenland Equestrian Centre.

Getting him used to the fact he now needs to wear a bit for the 2yr old classes. He was a very good boy. There was a bit of head shaking but for his first time out in the new set up I’m thrilled.

He did well in big mixed breed classes taking a 2nd 🥈 and 3rd 🥉 We met some lovely new Shetland folk too. All round a very successful outing for golden boy 🎉

Putting out the feelers for a show 🏆🥇 loan 🏠 for our beautiful Thumbelina. Please message if interested.

With the year being busy for us with various things going on in our lives I won’t have the opportunity to show as many ponies this year as I would normally.

Thumbelina is an absolute joy to show and I’ve had some amazing wins with her. She’s had a year off and would love someone to take her showing again. Always placed in the top and winning many championships, she’s an easy pony to show and always gives you a brilliant day out.

This would be for the 2024 season with a view for longer term but absolutely not a breeding home. She can even stay here with us if someone local wanted to take her out.

I adore this pony and she’d only be loaned to the best of homes and a home that wants to have some fun and get her out showing for the season. If that home isn’t found she’ll not be going anywhere and I will squeeze her into our show team for the year!

Mr Quigley (Quizmaster) looking super handsome this morning. He’s doing really well getting used to the new bit he has to wear for showing this year.

He has on his lovely new SPSBS C**T bridle disc from Equine Bridle Discs,

We will be taking him out for his first play of the season next weekend. Excited for the year ahead with him 🥰

Fenlandrose Chai, Pinglewood Lilymai and Bwlchclawdd Nellie all looking cute, fluffy and expectant of food. 🐴🐴🐴 All ponies are in for a few days to worm and see the farrier with dry feet. The mud, rain and wind is relentless at the moment so they seem pretty happy with their accommodation.

It was the last show of the year today at the Midlands Foal and Youngstock Show. We took our two yearlings- Bwlchclawdd Nellie who got a 1st 🥇 and Glenkee Quizmaster who got a 2nd 🥈 Both ponies were very excited to be out today and were rather lively in the championships together!

It’s not often I get Beth in the ring, unless the girls have done well and she’s forced to help me in the championship class! Nellie, our yearling filly, feels it’s time for a nap instead of behaving for Beth though!

Although it wasn’t our day with results yesterday at the The East Anglia Horse Show we were so pleased with Aurora yesterday. Her first show travelling solo and she behaved beautifully. Thank you to the judge for taking his time to give feedback, it’s always appreciated.

Note to self, don’t bath the patchy pony the morning of a show, lots of fluff= not enough time to dry even with 3 hours and 20degrees +!!

🤩 Welcome to the team Aurora. 🤩

A very sweet 2yr old filly who strutted her stuff at Bucks County Show today. This was her first time out this year and only her second ever show, she took it all in very well and travelled home like a star. Now making friends out in the field with Chai. Looking forward to seeing how this girl grows.
