I AM THRILLED! Cannot stop smiling!! 🥳🥳
As many of you know I have dedicated the last 5 years to enhancing our lines, this has taken great effort and come at a massive expense both in terms of time and finances but when you get results like these you know it’s all starting to pay off!
Over the last 5 years I’ve faced many challenges making these enhancements, had more disappointments than I’d like to count and had to make difficult decisions but as the saying goes ‘nothing worth having comes easy’.
I am now so proud to boast a kennel where our girls have diverse lineage including our original Donardglade lines and outside lines for variation. They are all also health tested and results are within the British Veterinary Association recommended ranges.
In addition, our two stud dogs have been outsourced from top quality lines and are of a totally unrelated lineage. Both boys are fully health tested and boast excellent scores.
Never one to rest on my laurels (sadly 😂🤦‍♀️) the next ‘5 year plan’ consists of further enhancements but this time to the teams’ facilities to make life easier for both them & I on a daily basis.

It was really great to get Sunny Boy out doing some work last night, I was so proud (shocked lol) at how well behaved and steady he was as we haven’t been doing any training whatsoever. He really is my superstar and lives to please!

Many of you who have met me will have seen (and definitely heard) my dachshunds! I don’t breed dachshunds and never will, these guys are all rescues and neutered but are most definitely my ‘guilty pleasure’ breed! I love these little guys just as much as the big dogs even if they cause much more chaos!

Our beautiful ‘Clare Glen Buttercup’ AKA Lexie who has passed her hip & elbow scores with excellent scores of 0/0 elbows and 5/5 hips 🥳
Lexie is 18 months old and while she is the smallest of the Donardglade girls she’s a feisty little firecracker who never ceases to entertain us!

Bruno has found a new home 🥳

The beautiful Bruno has come back into our care to find a new home through his owners change in circumstances. Bruno has been very much loved and cared for since leaving us as a puppy.
Bruno is a 2 year old Labrador who is house/lead/car trained. He’s good with children & other dogs. He’s also vaccinated & neutered.

We intend going ahead with three planned litters in 2024 with Summer, Betsy & Darcie. These will all be in the first half of 2024 and we will be taking a break from litters for the rest of the year.

Some of you may have noticed my social media absence recently…I’ve been very busy with our Labrador litter.
Some litters can be very challenging, we run into difficulties and it can be very stressful & emotionally draining.
I’m now delighted to say Mars and her babies are doing well and maybe I can start to de-stress a little after the last 4 weeks!
On a side note…how beautiful are these guys 😍

I’ll be forever grateful for the wonderful families who have waited for one of our puppies.
Those who have come through the journey know that I put my heart & soul into every single puppy. It’s not just cleaning & feeding for me but so much time and effort is put into raising well-rounded and balanced puppies who are confident to leave for their new lives.
While I often run myself into the ground when I have litters and those who know me will tell you I’m very hard on myself where the dogs are concerned but it’s messages like these that make me really proud of my dogs, puppies and myself! Thank-You!

Our new exotic rare black & white retriever…Meg! . All jokes aside Meg knows shes not a retriever, nor does she want to be as she’s a highly successful working dog in her own right 👌 albeit shes now retired! . Meg was my dad’s faithful sheepdog & best friend, shes been living across the road with my mum since we lost my dad nearly 2 years ago. However, over the last few weeks we thought Meg might enjoy more action over here with the crazy crew and despite her being 8 years old she is keeping the gang on thier toes and has settled in well! The end of an era…Rose & Majors final litter. . These beautiful puppies left our care over the weekend to begin life with their new families. This was the last litter for both Rose & Major as they are to be spayed/neutered over the next few months. . The great thing about breeding a line is that even though they won’t be having any more pups their names and DNA will forever live on in the pedigrees and our dogs. Recently, I was searching through our files and came across some old pedigrees in my handwriting from around 20 years ago (I always got that job from my dad and was very thorough with my use of different coloured pens!) and I remember those dogs who are now gone while their names are forever in the history books just like my dads. .
