Cookie is only 10 months old and we have been teaching her to find scented articles - she was really brilliant at finding clove scented foam pieces this morning in the forest ! Well done to Sarah and Dave her owners for teaching her at home so she could then practice in a new environment 🐾
Pip decided that it was much more fun to find me rather than her toy on our scent walk this afternoon !
Woody has been working on identifying scents in difficult spaces and he picked up the scent of his toy hidden in some leaves from a fair way back this morning !
This morning’s scent walk was with Buddy and Tess, 2 black labs. Here is Buddy showing how he can find a scent tin hidden in the grass with Tess patiently waiting her turn in the background !
Our Scent Walks started this morning and Cookie, Ronnie, Patch, Jason and Suki all had a great time sniffing out treats and toys in the natural environment. This is Ronnie who is a little anxious but he did brilliantly mixing with dogs in the group and not reacting to passers-by because he was focussed and busy finding the sausage !
Electricity is off at home so I’m out with Maisie doing some scent work
And here is Ruby showing how far she has come in the 6 months that she has been doing fun dog agility with me. - Her owner Ann has worked so hard with Ruby’s training through Ruby’s adolescence stage and they have such a strong bond it’s lovely to see !
Last night, we were working on ‘wait’ and call forward over obstacles at agility. Here are Willow and Betty showing how they can do a double act !
Things don’t always go to plan in fun dog agility classes - this is Slate deciding that running off with the jump cone was much more fun than doing the course 😆
