Big thanks for joining us! With 3k new followers, I wanted to reintroduce myself and share a bit about what makes The Doggy Barbers special 🗣️
I started The Doggy Barbers in 2020 to create a space where dogs not only look their best but feel their best too. What began as a hobby quickly turned into a successful business and it’s all thanks to the support of my wonderful customers 🧍
So… How did I get into dog grooming?
When I got my cocker spaniel, Trouble, I quickly realised I need to learn how to manage his fluffy coat. What started as grooming him at home led to night school, where I earned my first grooming qualification and it didn’t stop there. I kept learning and gaining more qualifications as I went! 🌙
What sets us apart?
It’s all about comfort and care. Every dog gets 1-1 attention, and I ensure they feel safe and calm, making the grooming experience stress-free. 🐕
What do I love most?
Seeing pups transformation from fresh cuts to nervous dogs, increasing in confidence after a few visits. ✂️

I clean my dog’s feet after a walk, especially at this time of year!

1️⃣ Length of the coat: longer coats and those who shed a lot may need more frequent visits to prevent tangles.
2️⃣ Activity level: more active dogs will generally require more frequent visits to keep the coat free from dirt and parasites.
3️⃣ Coat condition: owners who keep on top of those tangles at home prevent any discomfort between grooming sessions.
4️⃣ Seasonal changes: This can impact the grooming schedule especially for those who need deshedding.
5️⃣ Age considerations: Older dogs can not regulate there temperature as well as younger ones therefore you may want to leave the coat longer and go for a shorter time between grooms.
6️⃣ Health considerations: Dogs with skin conditions or allergies may need more frequent visits to manage any symptoms they may have.
