Young man Koby in with us again for day boarding. His lead pulling was so much better in the second half of his walk which has been far better than last time.

He also decided to join me in bed unexpectedly so my long lie got cut short. He was happy though 😂

Some socialisation over the Xmas period to help introduce two very excitable dogs and an old pup.

Slow introductions made on a structured walk before forced into an enclosed space indoors helps reduce any likelihood of nervousness or overstimulation to prevent reactivity.

Meet Ronin!

Our “little” mascot over here at Loch Dogs.

A rescue from Romania, he was brought over as just a pup to meet his mum and dad, promised to be Labrador size. Well, as you can see, he soon outgrew that (nearly 45kg!). He loves to be out, rain or shine, and ideally into the hills!🏔️

A busy day here today. Who can spot the three dogs today. Moose the St Bernard Buddy the Lab puppy Oreo the 14 year old Cocker Spaniel

So Lottie and her owners came to us with a few issues. Lottie was guarding one owner from the other and being very aggressive any time they came close. After an hour's session her owners have put in the work to break this barrier. Lottie is comfortable with her owners being close and they have much more control over her in the house. This had became a real problem for them as Lottie is also deaf. No problem too big or too small, we are here to help. Get in touch now to see how we can help you.

Been a busy few days for us here. We had Kobe back in with us and a new friend for him (Shiva) both dogs tiring each other out which has been great for us.😂 Also had a dog aggressive Romanian rescue in who's owner has been shown how to advocate for her dog and show him that he can put his trust in her with other dogs around. All in all a very happy owner who has some very clear homework to do before I see them again. If you need help with training your dog get in touch now.

Woking on recall with an old pup today. Bella's recall has fell to the wayside recently and needs brought back to where it used to be. Back to basics training where slight pressure is applied to the lead to reinforce that she must come when called and moving back, away from her draws the dog with you.

Some enrichment to work moose's brain as he works for his dinner. Sprinkled his kibble over a towel and rolled it up. Works his nose and tires his mind as slows down how quick he devours his food . . . . . . . . #rescue #loch #dog #enrichment #working

Had Kobe in with us for boarding on Thursday last week. Kobe is a very strong puller on the lead. 20 mins into our walk and he was walking lovely next to me and was checking in with me every few steps. What a happy little lad. Recall is coming along nicely. Starting to turn sharper and me moving back away from him draws moose back to me quicker. Correct behaviour marked with a treat 🐶

Little reward after our desensitisation training today. Lots of new sights, sounds and smells today with lots of people approaching to talk to us. Moose took it all in his stride though.
