Back to dressage this weekend for Sparrow Court Farm! After the last show where they had a few mistakes, Rosa and Enya have been training hard and they got two good scores of 66.9% and 67.9% in the elementarys to win the classes overall! As beautiful as Enya is, she is sensitive and can be difficult to ride at times and Rosa has been working very hard on her own riding to help Enya’s way of going. Hard work has paid off for these two 🥇 well done!

Successful day at felbridge yesterday for Ben and Merlin, starting with a lovey DC in a very busy discovery placing 4th. Then decided to have a go at the accumulator being much bigger than expected . Super riding from Ben for a nice accurate round just an unfortunate fallen fence early on… but they then went on to clear the joker!🥳

Alison Barten has an amazing ability at getting the best out of riders and their horses. With years of experience competing and running her own competition yard producing a mixture of affiliated Dressage, Showjumping and Eventing horses as well as breeding Alison is well equipt to support you regardless of the level you are at.

▶Are you stuck and not progressing? Alison has a great eye and will quickly see any blocks in your training and will work with you to unlock them.

▶Have you got a young horse you'd like support producing in a kind and sympathetic way? Great she's taken horses up through the levels and always has their welfare at her heart.

A trip to Speedgate today, so proud of these two! Great achievement for Anarosa Wallace in her first elementary test to get 64% ⭐️ and getting a third place with 68% in the novice was a bonus too!

Back out competing at Saddlesdane yesterday with Anarosa Wallace riding my horse Enya after a winter break. Enya was excited to be out and they did two good tests but Enya’s over-exuberance caused a few mistakes which reflected in the marks. Never a dull moment with Enya 🤦🏻‍♀️❤️

Join us for a day of fun! Sparrow Court Farm is hosting a summer fun day and obstacle course on Saturday the 23rd of July 2022. It will include various different obstacles with rosettes for those who go clear 🥇 There will be also be prizes for whoever can complete the course the quickest ⏳Each rider will have the chance to have a half an hour practice go in small groups.

This is aimed at everyone! Whether you’re a happy hacker, have a youngster, want to improve your confidence or just have some fun! It can be done in hand, ridden or lead-rein.

☀️ Suitable for all kids and adults of all ages and ability
☀️ Ideal for children on lead-rein who want to have some fun with their pony
☀️ Build yours and your pony’s confidence
☀️ Develop the trust and partnership with your pony
☀️ Can be done in small groups

It's so so easy to be sucked up by negativity and criticism.

Yes handling criticism is important, being able to hear things that are potentially uncomfortable is hard, can you rationalise and be accountable? That's so tough, when you may be conditioned and wired to react in a certain way to criticism or feeling you're being "told off". Sometimes you sub consciously put yourselves in positions and relationships where you are criticised and put down (trauma bonding)...because that's what you are used to

Your circle of people is so important.

People that clap for your successes..not try and dull it.
Are honest with you and communicate well.
Genuine happiness for you doing well...you'll know...you'll feel it.
They don't just sit with you for your successes, they sit with you through everything.

Just wanted to say a massive well done and thank you to everyone that took part in the spooky Halloween fun day 🎃

The spooky obstacle course was a great exercise for both rider and pony to build their confidence, trust and horsemanship as well as having lots of fun! Well done to all our fearless riders 👻
