Comb & Collar opened in 2015 is a south east of England based pet care services in the wonderful idyllic setting near the Ashdown Forest designed to care and love your pet as much as you do! I have worked in police kennels, day-care centres , with the RSPCA and numerous boarding kennels in my past, I also have four of my own high energy dogs which I do competitive sports with such as Agility, Cani

cross and Trick training, I offer a wide range of services from Grooming , dog Walking, Training ,home visits, tones of advice and love plus much more, Walks on the Ashdown Forest and use of local secure fielda where possible and tailor make package walks with dogs in groups with similar ages and energy levels• On the forest where there is room to play, run and have more freedom although careful attention is paid to livestock and other forest users to limit unwanted attention and ease of stress levels for your dogs for a happier , healthier more enriched dog walking experience .My grooming services are home ran 1 2 1 and offer anything from a basic bath and brush to a full groom, Hand stripping , clipping, puppy cuts and De-shedding even pre show prep!I also offer small animal boarding , as well as home visits from Felines to larger animals such as livestock and Equines, I am level 3 grooming trained where I studied at Brighton college , Worked previously with police dogs and have four Diploma's in dog behaviour, training as well as First Aid and puppy CPR. Fully insured with pet plan Sanctuary , DBS checked and registered with the National dog walking association along with an Ashdown Forest walking Licence. 🌳 🚶‍♀️ A massive thank you to everyone who came to my social walk Saturday morning! The weather was lovely , the dogs all well behaved and the company was excellent! Lots and lots of tired and happy dogs afterwards...plus a spot of tea and cake ! 🎂 🍵

🚶‍♀️ 🐕 I do get asked quite a lot how I manage multiple dogs, especially up on the forest 🌳, my simple solution is to know where I am going with each group of dogs and less the stress by only having a couple off at one time especially in more popular areas and places where you might come across the odd 🐎. It is very important to me that I have a good understanding of the dogs I am walking and what they are likely to do or not do ... these labs are absolutely bonkers in the best way , but have learned to stay close to me and leave ahead of me when I allow ... Happy doggos 🐶 happy me ! 😃

She has been with us a few weeks now and is a young Lab , she's still learning the ropes and gaining confidence... she's certainly confident in the water! Please also note this isn't a water hole with much happening..no baby frogs where harmed in this video !! 🐸 🐸 🐸

~Happy weekend everyone 🍸 I'm amazed that I dealt with the 35 dog towel washing , van bed washing daily and the I don't know how many times of washing dogs down , but these guys decided to wash themselves down .. this pond is usually small but now its so full its swimable! 🏊‍♀️ 💧 ~ My own dogs have been swimming at any opportunity they can get last week ! Thankfully it was still warm for January!

Well..we had a weekend full of fun and person achievements!! Cutting a long story short, I've been trying to gain points for Discover Dogs at Excel ABC ( anything but collie ) class over the summer which has meant I've been chasing agility shows up and down the country. But Saturday we did it ! Even though Yuna did a terrible job she already had enough points to just scrape into the top 15 , but Puds overtook her Saturday on points and also is in the top 15.. which means it looks like I'm taking two dogs to Discover Dogs crufts semi finals next month! Just waiting on confirmation that I'm allowed to take two. Sunday we where competing at Paws in the park and we did well there too including baby Rosa getting her second win which now takes her to grade 3 ! In total over the weekend we have gained a first , 4 2nd's a third , 4th and 3 unplaced clears ! Brinkleys jumping run from Sunday 🏆 🥇 🐕

I'm taking care of this gorgeous chap for the weekend! He's a happy purring cat ! 🐈

My lovely horse is such a good boy !! Take him weekly with my dogs for a stroll and snack which the girls swim ! 🏊‍♀️ 💧 🐎 🐕

About me and my story

Comb & Collar is a south east of England based pet care services in the wonderful idyllic setting of Ashurst wood near the Ashdown Forest designed to care and love your pet as much as you do! I am fully insured , have studied up to University degree level three in Grooming & dog training, diploma in Animal Psychology, Animal Behaviour ,Animal management and First Aid including puppys and CPR.

My whole life has been spent around animals and learning about them, I have four high energy dogs , 15 English Angora rabbits and a horse ! there is no mistaking my love for all things furry, fluffy or slinky I love them all!

I offer a wide range of services from Dog Walking, Grooming , small animal care to Equine care, I am never over crowded with pets only max 5 dogs walked at once and I try to avoid large parks, built up areas and make sure dogs are free to run and play as they should socially , it is above most important to me that dogs with different energy levels are only mixed if asked and I pride myself in trying to walk similar dogs with equals so they can fully enjoy their walks with me.

My grooming is only ever one dog at mine at a time ( exception from dogs from same household ) grooming in my own quiet house to ease stress for both pet and owner, I only use chemical free, natural shampoo’s which I purchase from anywhere from local independents, to across the seas. if you are unable to come to me I can offer a mobile service at yours and arrange collection and drop off free of charge. My grooming services i offer are anything from a basic bath, D-matt and tangle, Nail clip, teeth clean or brush to a full groom/clip and even pre show prep. I love a challenge!
