This is my friends dog, please all share, this is in the Deer Park Woods on the Brightling Road.

Poppy is still missing. We have left her blanket at the entrance to deer park in the hope that she may return over night. If you are driving around the area early tomorrow morning please keep a look out for her. 🤞

Poppy has gone missing this afternoon just before 3pm at deer park wood near woods corner, spooked by gun shots. If you spot her please call me on 07763 076210. Please share

🚨 Today is going to be VERY HOT 🥵 🚨

At 9am it was reading 24 already!

Please do not take your dog/s out in midday heat!

Your dog can DIE from heat stroke and it can come on very quickly!

My dogs will not be going out for another walk until 8pm tonight !

Don’t be stupid and think your dog will be fine... they struggle in this heat!

IF you are stupid enough to take your dog out during the day then please :

Hose them down.. not just on there backs , under the belly helps a lot.

Take water and a bowl and get them to drink whilst you are out.

If you have a cooling jacket put that on them and again hose it down .

When in your car don’t put the air con on, on the way to your walk as the heat will hit them when they get out!

Open your windows before you put your dogs in them!

After your walk keep your windows open and put the air con on and slowly shut the windows.

IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR DOG/s DON’T WALK THEM ... YOU MAY NOT GET TO WALK THEM AGAIN IF THEY DIE FROM HEAT STROKE!!

GOOD TO KNOW! Tick Removal: A nurse discovered a safe, easy way to remove ticks where they automatically withdraw themselves when you follow her simple instructions. "I had a pediatrician tell me what she believes is the best way to remove a tick. "Apply a glob of liquid soap to a cotton ball. Cover the tickwith the soap-soaked cotton ball and swab it for a few seconds (15-20); the tick will come out on its own and be stuck to the cotton ball when you lift it away. Please pass on.

It's set to be another hot week across most of the UK. ☀️ Have you heard of the pavement test? 👇
If you can't hold your hand on the hot pavement for longer than five seconds, it is too hot for your dog to walk on. Take your dog for a walk in the early morning and late evening when it is cooler and make sure to pack a water bottle so your dog can drink occasionally. If you are concerned about your pet in the heat, call your vet right away.

Saturday night I got home late and my dog didn't recognize me. Being a nanny I thought I woke him up and he was having a night terror. Sunday, he was still acting weird. I realized that I had been running my new diffuser and decided to turn it off. Sunday afternoon, he was feeling better.

Today at work, my dog sitter said that he wouldn't come out from under the bed. It was very odd as he is a happy dog.

I came from work early and again, he was very confused about who I was.

So I took him to emergency vet.

It turns out that the tea tree oil I was using in the diffuser is toxic for dogs. Thankfully the test showed that his liver was ok but we weren't out of the woods yet. He was given fluids under his skin to get the toxins out.

The vet and the poison control are saying that they see these cases often now that the popularity of essential oil is growing.

Please make sure that the essential oils you are burning are not toxic for your pets.

Here is a list of essential oils not to use if you have a dog at home

Anise (Pimpinella anisum)
Birch (Betula)
Bitter Almond (Prunus dulcis)
Boldo (Peumus boldus)
Calamus (Acorus calamus)
Camphor (Cinnamomum camphora)
Cassia (Cassia fistula)
Chenopodium (Chenopodium album)
Cloves (Syzygium aromaticum)
Garlic (Allium sativum)
Goosefoot (Chenopodium murale)
Horseradish (Armoracia rusticana)
Hyssop (Hyssopus sp. with the exception of Decumbens)
Juniper (Juniperus sp. with the exception of Juniper Berry)
Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris)
Mustard (Brassica juncea)
Oregano (Origanum vulgare)
Pennyroyal (Mentha pulegium)
Red or White Thyme
Rue (Ruta graveolens)
Santolina (Santolina chamaecyparissus)
Sassafras (Sassafras albidum)
Savory (Satureja)
Tansy (Tanacetum vulgare)
Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca alternifolia)
Terebinth (Pistacia palaestina)
Thuja (Thuja occidentalis)
Wintergreen (Gaultheria procumbens)
Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium)
Yarrow (Achillea millefolium)

PET owners are being warned to stop their dogs from eating killer conkers. The highly poisonous seeds of the horse chestnut tree pose a double autumn threat to dogs snuffling around in parks and the countryside.
