Morning all!

Non-dog related post! Nic has been diagnosed with shoulder impingement, causing fray on the rotator cuff. It's making life pretty uncomfortable and dog grooming virtually impossible at present :-(

I'm on the waiting list for NHS treatment, however.. Has anyone suffered from this? If so , have you seen anyone who can give me some immediate relief? Will spinal manipulation help?

Can anyone recommend anyone, please?

PUPPY INTRODUCTIONS are so important. Teach them the rules of the salon, get used to the sounds and smells... but the most important thing is that they leave happy and full of confidence. Today was Bonnie's first trip - I think she has had the best time in our chill zone ❤️🐶

First day at the new shop done ! A few little teething problems but it's all up hill from here ❤️❤️🐾🐾 thanks for all the support 🐶🐶

Anti Anxiety Dog Beds!!

Its Saturday- our busiest day of the week! But when the dog is nervous or scared... there is ALWAYS time for cuddles.

Our new shop!!

Our de-sheddibg brushes are flying out. Perfect to get rid of that undercoat. £8 each - available in small, medium and cat!

Nervous, anxious and even banned breeds do so well at our little bus. This video, may just look like a normal clip, however.... this little guy came to us and he had to be muzzled (owners own muzzle) - even on arrival. We couldn't pick him up, handle him or groom him without it on. Today - just over a year on, we can groom him, bath him and dry him - completely muzzle free. It may not seem like much, and he still doesn't enjoy being groomed - however, he trusts us enough, to let us groom him. He knows he is safe and he knows he isn't going to be harmed. Lots of groomers turned the owner away as he was a lot of work. For us - it's not money first - it's ALWAYS the dog first 💙🐶 This video makes me proud to be a groomer 🐶💙

So I have to share this little guy with you - this video means everything. When Alfie first started coming to the dogshack. He HATED being groomed. He used to tremble, and he was so stressed. Patience, care and love, along with his parents trusting our process, now means he falls asleep on the table 💙 This, right here, is everything I wanted the dogshack to be 💙🐶

Puppy introductions are sooooo important. your dog is gonna be getting groomed around 6 times a year (breed dependant) and making it a pleasurable experience is so important. we always make time for play and unwind as part of their appointment so they remember how much fun they have in our little shack and look forward to coming again! what we do now stays with them forever 🥰

Fudge also had 40 winks during his pamper. He was sliced by his last groomer and is very nervous to be groomed round the face..... Not in our little van - so much more intimate than a regular salon with true 1 on 1 care. We think his confidence is being restored 😍😍

So this is Monty's second trip to the Shack, the first visit he absolutely HATED the bath 🙈 today he came in and stood cool as a cucumber and as he left we make sure he remembers coming for the right reasons. 10 mins play at the end not only de-stresses him, it makes him associate coming here fun and about playtime. Job done :-)
