It's milky good morning from Sage the little orphan. He is taking nearly a litre of milk a day. The staff are feeding him every 3 to 4 hours throughout the day and even late into the evening. https://www.alpacas-hampshire.co.uk/alpaca-walking

SAD NEWS
It is with a heavy heart that we need to report that our beautiful mummy alpaca has been found. She unfortunately must have slipped into the river and drowned. This is a sad accident that has never happened in 12 years we have been farming alpacas. There is nothing we could have done.
Her baby Sage will now be hand fed.. we use full fat goats milk and our staff are experts as most years we have a reason to feed the babies when mum's can't.

Dear Customers, we are Hensting Alpacas and have been trading here in Otterbourne Eastleigh for 10 years, offering an alpaca walking Experience.

Negative Reviews/ Vouchers
As you can see we are gaining a number of Negative reviews. These reviews are happening due to the vouchers expiry dates. Customers are contacting us requesting the 6 month vouchers to be extended and when told no, become very upset and not only leave a negative review but go further and make attacks on the customer services, this has become so bad we had to close our phone lines and we now only answer via email.

These are the terms of the vouchers and have been carefully and fairly thought through..
Vouchers are now available to purchase in the booking tool. these vouchers are valid for 6 months from date of purchase and cannot be extended. The expiry date is the date they need to be used by. ie expiry 10th August walk must be booked and completed by 10th August.

Why only 6 months?
Many other experience companies only offer 4 months so we felt this to short so offered an extra 2 months. We walk Tuesdays Fridays twice on Saturdays and Sundays so plenty of time to walk and use the voucher.

Why we cannot extend.
We only have a set number of alpacas so can only sell a set number of vouchers per month. Again this is carefully thought out and this calculation leaves space for every voucher owner space with in the 6 months to successfully use there voucher. If we sold vouchers indiscriminately we would not have the room to accommodate the bookings and this would be wrong. So if we extended the voucher someone in the following month would not be able to use there voucher.

Removing option to purchase vouchers
We are monitoring these reviews and if they continue we will have no option but to remove the chance to purchase one of these vouchers and this would be sad for the 99% of satisfied customers.

Negative untrue statements like. 'Very rude customer service' and 'aggressive reply' are untrue and we do not accept this. Please remember there are human beings with feelings at the end of the attacks. The staff at Hensting Alpacas work incredibly hard to keep the alpacas in tip top condition and take care of the customers every day and this is only possible with your support. So please think twice about leaving these reviews that can do damage to the business and the ultimately the alpacas.
